Mega week ahead for sport fans on Channel 7 – Cricket, racing, AFL and Big Freeze 9 lead action-packed schedule on Seven.
Winter sports action is about to heat up in a mega week of cricket, racing and AFL blockbusters, live, free and exclusive across the screens of Seven.
Headlining a sensational slate of sport coverage, the Australian cricket team take on India at The Oval in London in the final of the ICC World Test Championships from 7.00pm tomorrow, only on Channel 7 and 7plus.
Cricketing great and former Australian team coach, Justin Langer, will join James Brayshaw and Ricky Ponting at the helm of Seven’s coverage, analysing the five days of play to decide which nation rules the world of cricket.
Seven’s coverage will include a 30-minute pre-game show each night, from 7.00pm AEST on 7mate and 7plus, where viewers will be greeted by many of Seven cricket’s favourite faces, including Matthew Hayden and Alison Mitchell; as well as Indian greats Sunil Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri. ICC TV will produce match coverage.
As the Aussies take a bat to the Indians, Thursday Night Footy also returns for Round 13 of the AFL season, kicking off with a huge clash between the Sydney Swans and St Kilda.
In celebration of Lance “Buddy” Franklin’s 350th AFL game, GWS Giants defender Phil Davis returns to the Seven’s commentary box to give viewers key insights into Buddy’s game, after playing on him multiple times throughout his own incredible career.
The blockbuster game will be followed by The Front Bar, when Mick Molloy, Sam Pang and Andy Maher will be joined by West Coast Eagles legend Karl Langdon and Big Freeze 9’s Bec Daniher.
On Friday morning, viewers will get their first taste of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ coming to Seven from 20 July, when The Trophy Tour swings by Sunrise (6am to 9am).
