Kane Cornes fires up All Stars before 2026 Legends Game on Channel 7 – Kane Cornes has delivered a light-hearted pre-game address to the All Stars before the 2026 Four’N Twenty Legends Game, with Seven releasing vision from inside the rooms ahead of the annual charity clash.
The short clip, shared publicly by 7AFL on X, shows Cornes leaning into his reputation as one of football’s sharpest critics as he prepares to coach the All Stars against Victoria. In the vision, Cornes jokes about having been “bagging coaches for 10 years” before turning his attention to the job in front of him.
For Channel 7’s AFL coverage, it is exactly the kind of pre-bounce moment that gives the Legends Game personality beyond the team sheet. Cornes has long been one of the most talked-about voices in football media, and placing him in the coaches’ box gives the All Stars v Victoria fixture an extra layer of theatre before the first bounce.
The 2026 Four’N Twenty Legends Game is being played at Marvel Stadium on Thursday, 27 August, raising awareness and funds for prostate cancer through the Australian Prostate Centre.

SEN lists the game start time at 7.30pm, following the pre-game entertainment.
Cornes coaches an All Stars squad captained by Shane Crawford, with Nic Naitanui as assistant coach. The line-up also features several major AFL names, including Lance Franklin, Cyril Rioli, Eddie Betts, Nick Riewoldt, Andrew McLeod, Adam Cooney and Isaac Smith.
