Weekly Ratings Australia Week 40 2026: Channel 7 won Total People and Grocery Shoppers 18+, while Channel 9 took People 25 to 54 and People 16 to 39 in the final week-to-date shares.

The weekly shares below use VOZ week-to-date results for free-to-air viewing from 6.00pm to midnight.

Channel 7 won six of the seven nights and finished 3.9 points ahead of Nine. The week opened with The Voice Grand Final against Nine’s NRL preliminary final and Test Rugby coverage, before My Kitchen Rules, Home and Away, The 1% Club UK and 7NEWS helped Seven control Monday to Wednesday. Nine’s only Total People win came on Thursday, when The Block and Fatty: A Life Unscripted drove a 31.3% share.

Seven returned to the lead on Friday with Better Homes and Gardens and held Saturday with Pitch Perfect and Border Security: Australia’s Front Line. ABC recorded its strongest share on Saturday at 25.1%, with Beyond Paradise and Father Brown prominent in its evening line-up. 10 peaked on Monday, supported by Shaun Micallef’s Parents’ Evening and Have You Been Paying Attention?, while SBS reached its best share on Saturday.

People 25 to 54 – Commercial Share

Channel 9 won People 25 to 54 by 2.2 points. Nine led Sunday with the NRL preliminary final and Test Rugby, then won Monday, Wednesday and Thursday as The Block remained the week’s most consistent entertainment draw in the demographic. Friday finished level at 39.1% apiece.

Channel 7’s wins came on Tuesday and Saturday. My Kitchen Rules and Home and Away supported Tuesday’s 40.8% result, while Saturday delivered Seven’s best share of the week in the demographic at 41.4%. 10 was strongest on Monday and Saturday, clearing 22% on both nights.

People 16 to 39 – Commercial Share

Channel 9’s advantage extended to People 16 to 39, where it won six nights and finished 2.8 points ahead of Channel 7. The NRL delivered Nine’s biggest nightly share on Sunday at 46.5%, and The Block kept the network in front from Monday to Thursday. Tuesday was the closest contest, with Nine edging Seven by just 0.3 points.

Channel 7 broke through on Saturday with 44.2%, its strongest result of the week in the demographic. 10’s best showing was Monday at 22.9%, when Have You Been Paying Attention? and Shaun Micallef’s Parents’ Evening formed a competitive prime-time pairing.

Grocery Shoppers 18+ – Commercial Share

Channel 7 won Grocery Shoppers 18+ by 5.8 points after taking six of the seven nights. Its strongest result came on Tuesday at 47.3%, when My Kitchen Rules, Home and Away and 7NEWS gave the network a clear advantage. Sunday’s The Voice Grand Final and Friday’s Better Homes and Gardens also contributed to the breadth of Seven’s weekly lead.

Nine’s only win came on Thursday with 43.1%, led by The Block and Fatty: A Life Unscripted. 10 ended the week with its strongest result in the demographic, reaching 22.2% on Saturday.
