Seven News was #1 for the night with a reach lead of 157 000 and an average audience lead of 114 000 over 9News. The 1% Club UK was #5 with 1 370 000 (815 000). The special, Arj Barker Comes Clean was #13 with 952 000 (249 000).

Australia: Now and Then (R) – 457 000 (162 000).

Nine

9News was #2 for the night. The Block was #3 with 1 760 000 (1 062 000). A Current Affair was #4 with 1 529 000 (1 001 000). Listing Melbourne was #6 with 1 396 000 (410 000).

Britain’s Most Expensive Houses – 475 000 (180 000).

Deal or No Deal was on 391 000 (250 000). The Project was #18 with 731 000 (302 000). Shark Tank was #17 with 792 000 (296 000). NCIS: Origins was #18 with 715 000 (319 000).

ABC News was #11 for the night. 730 was #8 with 1 150 000 (699 000). Hard Quiz was #15 with 895 000 (617 000). Question Everything was #12 with 971 000 (509 000). An encore of Fisk was #21 with 634 000 (334 000). Planet America was #26 with 529 000 (332 000).

  • The Block continued to dominate in primetime, ranking as the No.1 entertainment program of the night with Total People and all key demographics across Australia. It was also the winning entertainment program in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 1.760 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.062 million – up 2.2% on the same night last year. On 9Now, its BVOD audience was 156,000, up 10.5% year-on-year.
  • Listing Melbourne was the program of choice in Melbourne with People 25-54, People 16-39 and Total People. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.369 million, a Total TV National Audience of 410,000 and a BVOD audience of 46,000.
  • 9News was the No.1 program of the night with Total People in Sydney and Brisbane. It was also the preferred news bulletin with People 25-54 and People 16-39 across Australia. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.816 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.097 million – up 9.1% on the same night last year. On 9Now, its BVOD audience of 90,000 was up a massive 62.5% year-on-year.
  • A Current Affair dominated the 7.00pm timeslot with Total People across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It recorded a National total TV Reach of 1.529 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.001 million – up 13.3%. On 9Now, its BVOD audience was 80,000, up 41.9% year-on-year.
  • Tipping Point was Australia’s No.1 afternoon game show with Total People. It also secured the afternoon timeslot in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. It registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.121 million and a Total TV National Audience of 581,000, lifting the timeslot by 38.0% when compared to the same day last year.
  • Today was the No.1 breakfast program with Total People in Melbourne and Brisbane. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 795,000 and a Total TV National Audience of 305,000. Its BVOD audience was 37,000 – up 36.8% on the same morning last year.
  • The 9Network was the No.1 Network across the 5 City Metro with Total People and all key demographics.

It was yet again a 7-Day Slay For 10 Play with viewers streaming last week’s finale of Thank God You’re Here and the launch of Shark Tank Australia.

7-day Total Viewing Audience (Wednesday 16 October):

  • Thank God You’re Here- Finale: reached 1.41 million total viewers and was the #2 show in 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.
  • Shark Tank Australia – Launch: reached 1.03 million total viewers.

Last night, on Shark Tank Australia, WA inventors sought $1 million to launch their world first electric hydrofoil. A construction manager wowed with a fashion product and doctors pitched their solution to children with allergies.

NCIS: Origins:

  • Ep 1: 715,000 total national viewers reached.
