Seven News was #1 for the night with a reach lead of 181 000 and an average audience lead of 136 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #6 with 1 383 000 (886 000). The 1% Club UK was #5 with 1 384 000 (797 000). The special, Akmal: Open for Renovations was #13 with 937 000 (258 000). A repeat of Australia: Now and Then was #29 with 497 000 (164 000).

Nine

9News was #3 for the night. A Current Affair was #4 with 1 548 000 (984 000). The Block was #2 with 1 853 000 (966 000). Human Error was #10 with 1 168 000 (463 000). Footy Furnace was #45 with 339 000 (99 000).

9News Late – 258 000 (130 000)

Million Dollar Murders (R) – 297 000 (111 000)

Law and Order: Organized Crime – 157 000 (78 000)

Deal or No Deal was #30 with 497 000 (285 000). The Project was #18 with 770 000 (320 000). The season final of Thank God You’re Here was #7 with 1 231 000 (654 000). The new season premiere of Shark Tank Australia was #14 with 934 000 (331 000). A repeat of NCIS was #21 with 687 000 (112 000).

10’s Late News – 140 000 (94 000)

ABC News was #12 for the night. 730 was #8 with 1 192 000 (690 000). Hard Quiz was #19 with 743 000 (522 000). Question Everything was #16 with 861 000 (446 000). Planet America was #24 with 657 000 (434 000). Would I Lie To You was #39 with 386 000 (211 000).

SBS World News was on 272 000 (168 000). Elizabeth Taylor: Rebel Superstar was #34 with 433 000 (167 000). Defiance P was #36 with 422 000 (63 000). Four Years Later was #50 with 313 000 (59 000).

  • The Block was Australia’s No.1 entertainment program with Total People across the 5 City Metro  in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.853 million, a Total TV National Audience of 966,000 and a BVOD audience of 153,000.
  • 9News was the No.1 news bulletin on Wednesday night with Total People in Sydney and Brisbane. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 1.773 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.088 million – up 17% on the same night last year. On 9Now, its BVOD audience of 92,000 was up 64.3% year-on-year.
  • A Current Affair won the 7.00pm timeslot with Total People across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 1.548 million and a Total TV National Audience of 984,000. On 9Now, its BVOD audience of 83,000, up 45.6% year-on-year.
  • Tipping Point was Australia’s No.1 afternoon game show with Total People across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.147 million and a Total TV National Audience of 613,000, lifting the time slot by 52.9% when compared to the same day last year.
  • The season  finale of Human Error secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.168 million and a Total TV National Audience of 463,000. It registered a BVOD audience of 45,000.
  • Today was the No.1 breakfast program with People 25-54 across the 5 City Metro. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 786,000 and a Total TV National Audience of 307,000. Its BVOD audience was 37,000 – up 32.1% on the same morning last year.
  • The 9Network was the No. 1 Network across the 5 City Metro with Total People, People 25-54 and GS 18+. 
  • 9Now was the No. 1 CFTA BVOD platform on Wednesday with People 25-54 and People 16 to 39.

Last night we opened the big blue door for the last time this season with the finale for Thank God You’re Here.

Not four but five performers took part in the pandemonium: Sam Pang, Hamish Blake, Urzila Carlson, Anisa Nandaula, and Guy Montgomery. And we pulled out the big guns with the guest judge, Shane Jacobson, a titan of comedy, plus a cheeky cameo from Tom Gleisner.

Thank God You’re Here:

  • 1.23 million total national viewers reached.
  • Up 20% week-on-week.
  • Up 28% in 16 to 39s, 22% in 25 to 54s and 19% in under 50s week-on-week.
  • #2 show in 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.
  • #2 in its timeslot.
  • Strong commercial shares with 35.4% in 16 to 39s, 32.5% under 50s and 31.8% in 25 to 54s.
  • Lifted 10’s timeslot 32% year-on-year.

The Sharks dove in the deep end last night with the premiere of Shark Tank Australia for 2024, with Davie Fogarty, Jane Lu, Maxine Horne, Nick Bell and Robert Herjavec ready to do business with Aussie entrepreneurs and innovators.
