Seven News was #1 for the night with a reach lead of 183 000 and an average audience lead of 163 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #6 with 1 390 000 (864 000). The 1% Club UK was #4 with 1 458 000 (836 000). The Front Bar was #8 with 1 275 000 (633 000). Talking Footy was #26 with 599 000 (218 000). Unbelievable Moments Caught on Camera was #39 with 398 000 (150 000).

9News was #2 for the night. A Current Affair was #3 with 1 489 000 (981 000). RBT was #10 with 1 152 000 (536 000). The special, Spacey Unmasked was #13 with 1 035 000 (245 000).

The Project was #15 with 883 000 (352 000). MasterChef Australia was #9 with 1 235 000 (645 000). FBI: International was #16 with 845 000 (224 000).

ABC

ABC News was #12 for the night. 730 was #11 with 1 106 000 (630 000). Hard Quiz was #17 with 832 000 (656 000). The Weekly with Charlie Pickering was #18 with 818 000 (621 000). White Fever was #27 with 410 000 (199 000).

  • 9News was the No. 1 news bulletin with Total People in Sydney and Melbourne. It was also the No. 1 program across the 5 City Metro with People 25-54. The combined bulletins secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.952 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.216 million (up 14.4% on the same night last year). Its BVOD audience of 71,000 was up 39.2% on the same night last year. In Melbourne, the bulletin hosted by Alicia Loxley & Tom Steinfort, was 85,000 viewers ahead of its nearest competitor. In Sydney, the bulletin hosted by Peter Overton, was 48,000 viewers ahead of its nearest competitor.
  • Tipping Point was once again Australia’s No. 1 afternoon game show, as well as winning the timeslot in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.  It registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.342 million and a Total TV National Audience of 705,000 – representing a massive 55.3% timeslot lift when compared to the same day last year.
  • A Current Affair won the 7.00pm timeslot across Australia and in Sydney and Melbourne. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.489 million and a Total TV National Audience of 981,000, up 2.4% same time last year. It recorded a BVOD audience of 55,000 on 9Now – up 25% year-on-year.

Today recorded a National Total TV Reach of 817,000 and a Total TV National Audience of 337,000. It was the No. 1 breakfast program in Sydney and Melbourne. Its BVOD audience of 30,000 on 9Now was up 20% on the same morning last year.

Reaches 1.24 Million. Achieving Its Biggest Ever Audiences On 10 Play.

Last night, immunity was up for grabs in the MasterChef Australia kitchen in a two-round Immunity challenge.

MasterChef Australia:

  • 1.24 million total national viewers reached.
  • #1 in its timeslot in under 50s and 16 to 39s.
  • #1 entertainment show in 16 to 39s.
  • 35,000 live stream viewers, up 22% on the same episode last year.
  • Season-to-date: Biggest BVOD audiences ever (138,000), up 25% on 2023 average.

Last week, with 7-day viewing, MasterChef Australia (Wednesday, 1 May):

  • 1.53 million total national viewers reached.
  • #1 show in 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.
