Analysis for Total TV (21st September, 2022) and Overnight (28th September, 2022) ratings.
Total TV
The Block powers in both overnight and Total TV with its audience increasing 34% to 1, 291, 000 viewers. The underrated Tipping Point on Nine increases 6% and has a healthy afternoon audience of 410 000.
Farmer Wants a Wife adds 43% to increase to a total viewership of 1, 033, 000. Armed and Dangerous increases only by 10% for a low total audience of 381, 000. With two of the three produced episodes having now aired, this does not bode well for a second season.
Shaun Micallef’s Brain Eisteddfod increases 12% off a low base to a total of 337, 000 putting a second season in serious doubt.
ABC said farewell to Shaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell to an impressive final total of 790, 000 viewers, an increase of 22% on its overnights. Summer Love increases its audience by 32% for a total audience of 501, 000.

Analysis
Nine won the network night 6 points clear of rival Seven with strong performances from its flagship news service, then A Current Affair at 641 000 and another strong effort from The Block at 703 000. My Life as a Rolling Stone was on 258 000, a modest performance in general, but would be considered either strong or weak depending on the price Nine paid for the series.
Seven won the news battle at both 6pm and 6:30pm. Home and Away was on 443 000 but has strong increases in Total TV compared to its competitors that are airing news type programs in the same slot. Seven then aired ABBA: The Missing 40 Years to 294 000, keeping the slot warm for Kitchen Nightmares starting in 2 weeks.
10 had an audience of 309 000 viewers for The Amazing Race Australia and Shockwaves: The Bali Bombings aired to a relative small audience of 155 000.
ABC was strong with its news service and then an impressive 543 000 tuned in for Hand Quiz. Question Everything returned for a new season to 401 000.
