Seven News was #2 for the night with a reach lead of 136 000 and an average audience lead of 124 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #8 with 1 283 000 (828 000). The 1% Club UK was #7 with 1 358 000 (734 000). Ludwig was #12 with 1 071 000 (479 000). Ludwig episode 2 was #25 with 613 000 (326 000). Breathtaking was on 237 000 (80 000).

Nine

9News was #3 for the night. A Current Affair was #5 with 1 733 000 (1 086 000). Married at First Sight – Wednesday was #1 with 2 865 000 (1 803 000). Big Miracles was #4 with 1 872 000 (609 000). 9News Late was #22 with 653 000 (299 000). A repeat of Casualty 24/7 was #44 with 339 000 (128 000). A repeat of The Equalizer was on 165 000 (77 000).

Deal or No Deal was #34 with 464 000 (255 000). The Project was #18 with 704 000 (297 000). Australian Survivor – Wednesday was #14 with 993 000 (486 000). Elsbeth was #19 with 681 000 (210 000). NCIS: Hawaii was #50 with 303 000 (115 000). 10’s Late News was on 170 000 (94 000).

ABC

ABC News was #11 for the night. 730 was #9 with 1 204 000 (746 000). Hard Quiz was #15 with 885 000 (570 000). Optics was #28 with 572 000 (260 000). Guy Montgomery’s Guy Mont Spelling Bee (NZ) was #37 with 423 000 (173 000). Planet America was #32 with 484 000 (299 000). A repeat of Spicks and Specks was #49 with 306 000 (120 000). ABC Late News was on 231 000 (61 000).

SBS

SBS World News was on 269 000 (170 000). SBS World News 7pm was on 283 000 (126 000). Lord Lucan was on 251 00 (98 000). Wonders of the Sun with Dara O Briain was #46 with 331 000 (110 000). Playing Nice was on 191 000 (43 000).

  • The 9Network claimed Australia’s Top 4 programs on Wednesday night by reach with People 25-54, as Married at First Sight, Big Miracles, 9News and A Current Affair top the key demographic. 
     
  • Married at First Sight was the No. 1 program of the night with Total People and all key demos across Australia and in all metro capitals. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 2.865 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.803 million (more than one million viewers ahead of its nearest competitor) – up 16.3% year-on-year.
     
  • Married at First Sight registered a BVOD audience of 525,000 – up 43.8% on the corresponding episode last year. Last night’s episode of MAFS recorded the highest ever overnight BVOD Audience in the series history. This episode is the highest rating non-sporting overnight BVOD audience across CFTA in VOZ history. 
     
  • 9News was the No. 1 news service with Total People across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and with key demographics People 25-54 and 16-39 in Adelaide. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.909 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.162 million – up 13.5% on the same night last year. On 9Now, its BVOD audience of 110,000 was up 52.8% year-on-year.
     
  • A Current Affair dominated the 7.00pm timeslot with Total People across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne,  Brisbane and Adelaide. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.733 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.086 million – up 6.9% year-on-year. On 9Now, it recorded a BVOD Audience of 122,000 – up 40.2% on the same night last year.
     
  • Tipping Point Australia was the No. 1 afternoon game show with Total People across Australia and in all metro capitals. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 1.376 million, a Total TV National Audience of 719,000 (lifting the timeslot by 23.5% year-on-year) and a BVOD audience of 57,000 – 72.7% year-on-year. 
     
  • Big Miracles won its timeslot across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. It registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.872 million, a Total TV National Audience of 609,000 – up 26.6% year-on-year and a BVOD Audience of 107,000 – up 69.8% on the corresponding episode last year. Last night’s episode of Big Miracles recorded the highest ever overnight audience in the series history across Total TV, Broadcast TV & BVOD.
     
  • Today was the breakfast program of choice with Total People in Melbourne and Brisbane. It recorded a Total TV National Audience of 322,000 and a BVOD audience of 41,000 – up 24.2% on the same morning last year.
     
  • The 9Network was the No. 1 network across the 5 City Metro with Total People and all key demos.
  • 9Now was the No. 1 CFTA BVOD platform on Wednesday across Australia recording shares in excess of 58% with Total People and all key demos.

• Season to-date: Reaching 1.7 million total national viewers.
• Lifting 10’s timeslot 29% year-on-year.
• #2 in its timeslot in 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.

Network 10:
• Yesterday, 10 reached 3.83 million Australians across Network 10 and 10 Play, up 5% on the same day last year.
• 10’s BVOD audience was up 14% on the same night last week and up 47% on the same night last year.
• Network 10’s metro broadcast audience was up 35% in 25 to 54s on the same night last year.
