Seven News was #1 for the night with a reach lead of 238 000 and an average audience lead of 186 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #7 with 1 388 000 (877 000). Farmer Wants a Wife was #4 with 1 792 000 (1 016 000). The Marlow Murder Club was #12 with 1 045 000 (450 000). Code Blue: The Killing of June Fox-Roberts was #38 with 462 000 (158 000).

Nine

9News was #2 for the night. A Current Affair was #5 with 1 628 000 (1 065 000). Lego Masters season final was #3 with 1 919 000 (848 000). Clarkson’s Farm was #10 with 1 245 000 (421 000). Opal Hunters: Red Dirt Road Trip was #33 with 502 000 (178 000).

The Project was #16 with 937 000 (383 000). MasterChef Australia was #9 with 1 247 000 (646 000). The Cheap Seats was #15 with 959 000 (465 000). A new episode of NCIS was #24 with 618 000 (201 000). Creative Types with Virginia Trioli was #37 with 473 000 (346 000).

ABC News was #11 for the night. 730 was #13 with 1 027 000 (612 000). This Is Going to Be Big was #18 with 804 000 (281 000).

  • 9News was the No. 1 news service and program across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney and Melbourne with Total People. In Sydney, the bulletin recorded 58,000 more viewers than its nearest competitor and in Melbourne, the bulletin was 80,000 viewers ahead of its nearest competitor. Tuesday’s combined bulletins registered a Total TV National Average Audience of 1.251 million up 14.9% yoy and a BVOD Average Audience of 74,000 – up 39.6% year-on-year. 
     
  • Lego Masters: Australia vs Rest of the World Finale was the No.1 Entertainment program across Australia with key demos People 25-54 and 16-39. It registered a Total TV National Average Audience of 848,000 and a BVOD audience of 48,000.
     
  • A Current Affair was the No. 1 program at 7.00pm across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.628 million and a Total TV National Average Audience of 1.065 million – up 10.2% on the same day last year. Its BVOD audience was 60,000 – up 33.3% year on year. 
     
  • Tipping Point dominated the afternoon game show slot across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.353 million, a Total TV National Audience of 713,000 – up 48.2% year on year and a BVOD audience of 39,000 – up 85.7% year on year.
     
  • Today was the preferred breakfast program with Total People in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 855,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 327,000. It recorded a BVOD audience of 32,000 – an increase of 28.0% on the same day last year.
     
  • Today Extra was the morning program of choice with Total People in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 503,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 194,000.

The 9Network was No. 1 on Tuesday across the 5 City Metro with Total People and key demos People 25-54 and 16-39.

MasterChef Australia And The Cheap Seats Plate Up Key Demographics.

MasterChef Up 12% And The Cheap Seats Up 6% In 25 to 54s, Week-On-Week.

From red carpet premieres to exclusive interviews with Hollywood’s biggest stars, Angela’s professionalism and passion for storytelling has captivated audiences nationwide.

Last night, MasterChef Australia’s Judge Jean-Christophe Novelli set the first Pressure Test of the competition with his 1992 dessert, ‘Jack in the Box’.The episode was up 4% compared with last Tuesday, and its live stream audience was up 17% on the same episode last year. MasterChef Australia and The Cheap Seats are both achieving their best BVOD audiences ever, up significantly on last year’s numbers.

MasterChef Australia:

  • 1.25 million total national viewers reached.
  • Up 4% week-on-week.
  • Up 12% in 25 to 54s and 10% in under 50s week-on-week.
  • #2 in its timeslot in 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.
  • 35,000 live stream viewers, up 17% on the same episode last year.
  • Season-to-date: Biggest BVOD audiences ever (154,000), up 40% on 2023 average.

The Cheap Seats:

  • 959,000 total national viewers reached.
  • Up 9% in under 50s week-on-week, up 6% in 25 to 54s.
  • #2 in its timeslot in 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.
  • 17,000 live stream viewers, up 13% on the same episode last year.
  • Season-to-date: Biggest live stream audiences ever (18,000), up 50% on 2023 average.

The Project was up 14% week-on-week and Deal Or No Deal was up 3%.

Last week, with 7-day viewing, MasterChef Australia (Tuesday, 30 April) reached 1.39 million total national viewers.
