Seven News was #1 for the night with a reach lead of 218 000 and an average audience lead of 146 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #9 with 1 245 000 (785 000). Dream Home was #7 with 1 340 000 (581 000). The Good Doctor was #23 with 662 000 (304 000). Ambulance: Code Red was #37 with 418 000 (169 000).

Nine

9News was #2 for the night. A Current Affair was #4 with 1 622 000 (1 092 000). 2024 Australian Swimming Trials – Finals – Day 2 was #3 with 1 904 000 (739 000). The movie, The Dish was #8 with 1 297 000 (285 000).

The Project was #15 with 908 000 (363 000). MasterChef Australia was #12 with 1 226 000 000 (640 000). The Cheap Seats was #11 with 1 241 000 (489 000). Football – Socceroos v Palestine – Pre Game was #31 with 541 00 (214 000). Football – Socceroos v Palestine was #32 with 521 000 (209 000).

ABC

ABC News was #10 for the night. 730 was #13 with 1 121 000 (662 000). Tony Armstrong’s Extra-Ordinary Things was #16 with 814 000 (414 000). Secret Science was #36 with 432 000 (248 000).

  • 9News was the No. 1 program with Total People in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It was also the No. 1 program and news service with all key demos across the 5 City Metro. The combined national bulletins recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.960 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.232 million (up 8.0% year-on-year). On 9Now, its BVOD audience of 96,000 was up 58.5% year-on-year.
  • A Current Affair won the 7.00pm timeslot with all key demos and Total People across Australia. It registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.622 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.092 million – up 12.5% on the same night last year. It secured a BVOD audience of 77,000 – up a significant 50.9% year-on-year.
  • The 2024 Australian Swimming Trials – Finals dominated its timeslot across Australia with all key demos and Total People. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 1.904 million and a Total TV National Audience of 739,000 and a BVOD audience of 54,000. 
  • Tipping Point was Australia’s No. 1 afternoon game show with all key demos Total People. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.474 million and a Total TV National Audience of 800,000 lifting 58.7% tin it’s timeslot when compared to the same day last year.
  • Today was the No.1 breakfast program with Total People across the 5 City and in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 794,000 and a Total TV National Audience of 340,000. Its BVOD audience was 36,000 – up 34.2% on the same morning last year.
  • The 9Network was the No.1 network across the 5 City Metro with all key demos and Total People

9Now was the No. 1 CFTA BVOD platform across Australia with People 16-39

Seven reaches 5.51 million, wins Tuesday, 7NEWS #1

Sweet Week continues on MasterChef Australia as Adriano Zumbo, sets a challenge that puts a new twist on a classic. The cooks interpreted the croquembouche in their own unique way.

MasterChef Australia:
• 1.23 million total national viewers reached.
• #2 entertainment show in 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.
• #2 in its timeslot in 16 to 39s and 25 to 54s.
• 38,000 live stream viewers, up 25% on the same episode last year.
• Season-to-date: Biggest BVOD audiences ever (145,000), up 32% on 2023 average.

The Cheap Seats’ Melanie Bracewell and Tim McDonald take a fun look at the week that was with Mel Tracina, Adam Rozenbachs and comedian Jenny Tian.

The Cheap Seats:
• 1.24 million total national viewers reached.
• #1 entertainment show in 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.
• #1 in its timeslot in 16 to 39s and 25 to 54s.
• Huge commercial shares with 35.2% in 16 to 39s and 32.4% in 25 to 54s.
• Biggest live stream audience ever: 19,000 viewers, up 39% on the same episode last year.
• Season to-date: Achieving its biggest total audience average (576,000), up 6% on 2023 average.
• Season-to-date: Biggest BVOD audiences ever (43,000), up 34% on 2023 average.

Football: Socceroos V Palestine (live, split market):
• 795,000 total national viewers reached.
• #1 in its timeslot in 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.
• 38.9% commercial share in 16 to 39s.
• Lifts 10’s timeslot 45% year-on-year.

Network 10 & 10: #2 network and channel in 16 to 39s and 25 to 54s.

Last week (Tuesday, 4 June), with 7 day viewing, MasterChef Australia reached 1.43 million total national viewers and was the #1 show in 16 to 39s. The Cheap Seats reached 1.31 million total national viewers.
