TOTAL TV
The Block was the #1 program in the Total TV report for last Tuesday with an audience of 1,524 000, an increase of 32%. Nine News was #5 for the night at 1,066 000 viewers, an uplift of 4%, whilst the 6:30pm half hour of Nine News did even better placing at #4 with 1,095 000 viewers. A Current Affair was up 7% to 1,036 000. A repeat of Travel Guides sat at 556 000, up 10%. Nine aired a Budget special to 513 000 viewers, up 6%. An ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 match between Australia and Sri Lanka was watched by 380 000, up 8%. Earlier in the day, Hot Seat (5pm) was on 339 000. up 5%, whilst the 5:30pm portion of the show had 524 000 viewers, up 4%. Nine’s Afternoon News had 352 000, up 3%, whilst Tipping Point continues to perform well at 432 000, up 7%. Today added 7%, for a total audience of 326 000.
Seven News was #2 for the night, behind The Block with 1,432 000 viewers, up 3%, whilst the 6:30pm half hour was #3 at 1,407 000, also up 3%. Home and Away is now second in the slot at #7 with 904 000, up 22%. Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly did good business for Seven with 575 000, up 10%. The Good Doctor was up a massive 42% to 502 000 and is now in front of The Cheap Seats. Earlier in the day, The Chase Australia (5pm) did 474 000, up 3%, whilst the 5:30pm half hour did 756 000, also up 3%. Seven News at 4 was on 280, 000, up 3%, whilst Seven News at 4:30 did 300 000, up 3% as well. Sunrise lifted 4% to 391 000.
10 News First was up 2% to 346 000.The Project at 7pm rose 4% to 391 000. The Traitors looks much healthier in Total TV at 471 000, up 33%/ The Cheap Seats rose 17% to 477 000.
ABC News was on 888 000, up 3%. There were a number of Federal Budget segments with The Treasurer’s Speech on 753 00, up 5%, Budget Special on 563 000, up 5% and Reaction/Analysis on 387 000, up 7%.

Analysis
Nine News placed #5 last night with an audience of 759 000 with no wins in any of the capital cities. Nine News 6:30 had 753 000 with a small win in Sydney. A Current Affair won the 7pm slot with 568 000. Travel Guides (repeat) came into the line-up with 437 000. The movie Vacation had 199 000. Nine News Late had 96 000, whilst Skin A+E had 44 000 late night viewers.
Seven News was #2 in the rankings but #1 in primetime with wins in all markets at 897 000. Seven News at 6:30 had 876 000 and would have won in all markets, but missed out in Sydney by 7000 viewers. Home and Away was on 455 000 and placed third in the slot, but will see significant gains in Total TV. Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly had 342 000 at 7:30pm. The Good Doctor had 208 000 viewers, whilst the interesting 10 Years Younger in 10 Days UK had 127 000 viewers. The Latest: Seven News was on 87 000, whilst 57 000 stayed up late to watch a new episode of Chicago Fire.
10 had the Melbourne Cup with 1,024 000 watching the actual race and 882 000 watching the presentation segment. The Melbourne Cup gave 10 News First a boost at 317 000. The Project at 6:30pm had 271 000, but that increased to 358 000 at 7pm. The Traitors also received a bump last night at 309 000. The Cheap Seats sat on 338 000 viewers. The new episode of NCIS had 149 000, whilst the late night repeat had 86 000.
ABC News had 556 000, whilst 730 was watched by 459 000. Stuff the British Stole had 444 000. Magda’s Big National Health Check was watched by 413 000.
