TOTAL TV – Total People
Seven News was #1 with 1,293 000, a rise of 3%. Seven News at 6:30 was #2 with 1.229 000, an upswing of 3%. The Chase Australia was #8 with 692 000, a lift of 3%. Seven’s Cricket: Big Bash League – Sydney Thunder v Melbourne Stars was #9 with 484 000. Due to Seven not having BVOD rights for 7plus there was no uptick in Total TV. The Chase Australia – 5pm was #11 with 440 000, an increase of 3%. Sunrise was #12 with 433 000, a boost of 5%. Seven News at 4:30 was #22 with 316 000, a boost of 3%. Seven News at 4 was #24 with 279 000, growth of 2%. Sunrise – Early was #25 with 276 000, strengthening its audience by 5%. Seven’s Cricket: Big Bash League – Sydney Thunder v Melbourne Stars Post Game was #26 with 271 000.
Nine News 6:30 was #3 with 980 000, bolstering its audience by 4%. Nine News was #4 with 979 000, an upsurge of 5%. A Current Affair was #5 with 915 000, an improvement of 6%. Hot Seat was #10 with 481 000, expanding its audience by 4%. Nine’s Afternoon News was #14 with 383 000, an enhancement of 3%. Tipping Point was #17 with 354 000, an uplift of 6%. Love Island Australia – Tuesday was #20 with 335 000, up 468%. Hot Seat – 5pm was #21 with 323 000, a rise of 4%. Today was #23 with 313 000, an upswing of 7%. 2022 FINA World Short Course Championships was #27 with 264 000, a lift of 6%.
Crossfire did well for 10 at #13 with 404 000, an increase of 43%. A repeat of Ambulance Australia was #15 with 363 000, a boost of 5%. The Project 7pm was #16 with 362 000, a boost of 7%. 10 News First was #19 with 341 000, growth of 2%. The Project 6:30pm was #29 with 261 000, strengthening its audience by 7%.
ABC News was #6 with 845 000, bolstering its audience by 3%. 730 was #7 with 796 000, an upsurge of 6%. A repeat of Anh’s Brush with Fame was #18 with 347 000, an improvement of 5%. A repeat of Love on the Spectrum was #28 with 263 000, expanding its viewership by 4%. ABC News Breakfast was #30 with 244 000, an enhancement of 6%, but that audience does not include those watching on ABC News channel.
TOTAL TV – 25-54
Love Island Australia was #6 with 186 000, an uplift of 500%. This places the show as the #1 program for Tuesday non-news, which is significant given that it airs on 9GO and most of its audience comes from 9Now. The Project 7pm does well in this demographic, placing #8 overall with 159 000, up 9%.
OVERNIGHT RATINGS
Analysis
Seven News was #1 with a clean sweep in all metro markets. Seven News at 6:30 was #2 with wins in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Seven’s Cricket: Big Bash League – Adelaide Strikers v Sydney Thunder was #10 with 326 000.
Nine News 6:30 was #3 with a win in Brisbane. Nine News was #4 with no wins in any market. A Current Affair was #5 but #1 in its slot with 504 000. A repeat of Travel Guides was #9 but #1 for the night in primetime non-news with 371 000. The movie, Bad Moms 2 was on 228 000 and placed #15.
The Project 6:30pm was #22 with 179 000. The Project 7pm was #13 with 244 000. A repeat of Ambulance Australia was #24 with 173 000. NCIS was #30 with 134 000. 10 screened Mission Impossible II to 83 000 and placed #63.
ABC News was #6 with 492 000. 730 was #7 with 426 000. A repeat of Anh’s Brush with Fame was #16 with 228 000. A repeat of Love on the Spectrum was #25 with 169 000.

9Gem’s win was fueled by another Bond movie, this time The World is Not Enough with 118 000 and placing #1 for the night. ABC TV Plus had a bumper night with Would I Lie to You #2 with 100 000 viewers and Adam Hills: The Last Leg #7 with 93 000.
