Seven News was #1 for the night with a reach lead of 34 000 and an average audience lead of 41 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #8 with 1 449 000 (933 000). Farmer Wants a Wife – Tuesday was #6 with 1 561 000 (855 000). Doc was #14 with 930 000 (461 000). The Agenda Setters was #35 with 466 000 (182 000). Accused was #47 with 338 000 (134 000).

The Chase UK – 405 000 (202 000)

Nine

9News was #2 for the night. A Current Affair was #5 with 1 621 000 (1 086 000). Lego Masters: Grand Masters of the Galaxy – Tuesday was #3 with 1 662 000 (717 000). Freddy and the Eighth aired in Sydney and Brisbane and was #29 with 552 000 (152 000). Footy Classified aired in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth and was #31 with 504 000 (149 000). Ski Rescue Down Under was #36 with 448 000 (136 000). 9News Late was on 184 000 (101 000). A repeat of A+E After Dark was on 147 000 (59 000).

Tipping Point UK (R) – 605 000 (341 000)

Deal or No Deal was #33 with 485 000 (248 000). The Project was #17 with 789 000 (309 000). MasterChef Australia – Tuesday was #11 with 1 077 000 (604 000). The Cheap Seats was #13 with 983 000 (479 000). FBI: Most Wanted was #43 with 371 000 (162 000). 10’s Late News was on 167 000 (109 000).

ABC News was #10 for the night. 730 was #9 with 1 269 000 (825 000). Walking with Dinosaurs was #15 with 855 000 (373 000). A repeat of David Attenborough’s Great Barrier Reef was #24 with 592 000 (261 000). A repeat of I Was Actually There was on 299 000 (129 000). ABC Late News was on 254 000 (68 000).

Claire Hooper’s House of Games – 573 000 (310 000)

Antiques Roadshow – 558 000 (282 000).

SBS

SBS World News was #38 with 410 000 (279 000). SBS World News 7pm was #44 with 363 000 (198 000). Who Do You Think You Are was #30 with 540 000 (255 000). Insight was #27 with 570 000 (215 000). Dateline was on 294 000 (124 000). SBS World News Late was on 157 000 (81 000).

  • LEGO® Masters Grand Masters of the Galaxy dominated the 7.30pm timeslot with key demos People 25-54 and 16-39 across Australia. It registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.662 million, Total TV National Audience of 717,000 (up 1.6% year-on-year) and a BVOD audience of 73,000 (up 32.7% year-on-year).
  • 9News was the No. 1 news bulletin and No. 1 program with Total People across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It was also the No.1 news bulletin with People 25-54 and People 16-39 in Adelaide and with People 16-39 in Perth. The combined national bulletins achieved a National Total TV Reach of 2.227 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.449 million – up 15.0% year-on-year. On 9Now, its BVOD Audience of 141,000 was up 51.6% on the same night last year.
  • A Current Affair dominated the 7.00pm timeslot with Total People across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.621 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.086 million. On 9Now, it recorded a BVOD Audience of 102,000 – up 43.7% year-on-year.
  • Tipping Point Australia was the No. 1 afternoon game show with Total People and all key demos across Australia. It won with Total People in all five metro markets. It registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.655 million and a Total TV National Audience of 881,000, up 20.5% year-on-year. On 9Now, its BVOD Audience of 86,000 was up a huge 62.3% on the same night last year.
  • Today was the breakfast program of choice with Total People in Brisbane. It was also won with the key demo of People 25-54 across Australia and in Sydney and Brisbane. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 751,000, a Total TV National Audience of 318,000 and a BVOD audience of 45,000 – up a notable 28.6% year-on-year.
  • The 9Network was the No. 1 network across the 5 City Metro on Tuesday with People 25-54 and People 16-39.

MasterChef Season Reaching 8M Viewers And The Cheap Seat Scores Biggest Total Audience Ever!

TV WEEK Gold Logie nominee and MasterChef Australia judge, Poh Ling Yeow, set the Sweet Week pressure test last night with not one, but three of her extraordinary desserts for the cooks to replicate. It was the ultimate baking battle between Andre, Beau, Callum and Laura, with Laura taking out the sweet victory securing immunity from this week’s elimination.

MasterChef Australia: Back To Win:
• Reached 1.08 million total viewers.
• #1 in timeslot in 16 to 39s.
Season-to-date:
• Reaching 8 million total viewers.
• #2 in timeslot in 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.

On The Cheap Seats, hosts Melanie Bracewell and Tim McDonald poked fun at the week, and were joined by Cultural Correspondent, Mel Tracina, Kiwi comedian Guy Montgomery and Formula 1 rising star Joanne Ciconte.
