Seven News was #3 for the night with a reach loss of 21 000 and an average audience lead of 99 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #12 with 972 000 (646 000) across 7 and 7two. Seven’s AFL: Thursday Night Football – Pre Match was #32 with 488 000 (254 000) across 7 and 7mate. Seven’s AFL: Thursday Night Football was #4 with 1 736 000 (569 000) across 7 and 7mate.

Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly was #21 with 711 000 (316 000) across 7 and 7mate. A repeat of Crime Investigation Australia was #28 with 535 000 (209 000).

Nine

9News was #2 for the night. Women’s State of Origin Rugby League: NSW v QLD – Pre Match was #8 with 1 190 000 (734 000) across 9 and 9Gem. Women’s State of Origin Rugby League: NSW v QLD was #1 with 2 217 000 (1 068 000). Women’s State of Origin Rugby League: NSW v QLD – Post Match was #19 with 738 000 (404 000). 9News Late was #30 with 520 000 (261 000). Law and Order: Organized Crime was #45 with 384 000 (135 000).

The Project was #15 with 897 000 (343 000). MasterChef Australia was #10 with 1 133 000 (519 000). Taskmaster Australia was #18 with 753 000 (326 000). A repeat of Law an Order: SVU was #36 with 470 000 (148 000).

ABC News was #9 for the night. 730 was #11 with 1 017 000 (595 000). Restoration Australia was #16 with 837 000 (454 000). Grand Designs UK was #24 with 649 000 (381 000). A repeat of Tony Armstrong’s Extra-Ordinary Things was #39 with 432 000 (145 000).

  • Women’s State of Origin II broke previous records set in Game 1 and was the No.1 program of the night in Sydney and Brisbane. It secured a new record for National Total TV Reach with 2.217 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.068 million – up 78% on Game 2 in 2023 and up 9% on Game 1 in 2024
  • On 9Now, Women’s State of Origin II recorded a BVOD audience of 166,000 – up 153% on Game 2 in 2023 and up 12% on Game 1 in 2024.
  • 9News recorded a National Total TV Reach of 2.048 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.202 million – up 8% YoY. It was the No.1 program for the night across the 5 City Metro and in Melbourne, as well as the No.1 news bulletin in Sydney and Brisbane. Melbourne was 58,000 viewers ahead of its nearest competitor, Sydney was 55,000 ahead and Brisbane was 48,000 viewers ahead. The BVOD audience of 93,000 was up 79% YoY.
  • A Current Affair won the 7.00pm timeslot across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.521 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.001 million – up 13% YoY. Its BVOD audience of 84,000 on 9Now was up 83% YoY.
  • Tipping Point was the No.1 afternoon game show across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.443 million and a Total TV National Audience of 735,000. Yesterday’s national audience lifted the timeslot by 44% when compared to the corresponding day last year.
  • Today achieved a National Total TV Reach of 932,000 and was the No.1 breakfast program in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Its BVOD audience was 37,000 – up 48% year-on-year.
  • The 9Network was the winning network across the 5 City Metro with People 16-39.

9Now was Australia’s No.1 CFTA BVOD platform across Australia with Total People and all key demographics.

MasterChef And Taskmaster Lift 10’s Thursday Night 31% Week-On-Week!

With the Tillies taking over Monday night to score the record for the biggest Football audience on 10, we were treated to a special Thursday night episode of MasterChef Australia.

Talk about TV you can taste! After winning last night’s Immunity Challenge on MasterChef Australia, Sumeet Saigal has introduced her InTALIAN Simmer Sauce, a unique blend of Indian and Italian flavours, to Coles shelves. Hurry in to your nearest Coles, it’s only available for a limited time.

Taskmaster Australia is achieving its biggest average total audience ever! Taskmaster is averaging 576,000 season-to-date, up 11% on its 2023 average.

MasterChef Australia:
  • 1.13 million total national viewers reached.
  • #1 entertainment show in 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.
  • Lifts 10’s Thursday night 7.30pm timeslot 40% week-on-week.
  • Season-to-date: Biggest BVOD audiences ever (145,000), up 32% on 2023 average.
Taskmaster Australia:
  • 753,000 total national viewers reached.
  • Lifts its timeslot 65% week-on-week.
  • Lifts its timeslot 49% year-on-year.
  • 12,000 live stream viewers, up 60% on the same episode last year.
  • Season-to-date: Biggest BVOD audiences ever (69,000), up 28% on 2023 average.
  • Season-to-date: Biggest average total audience ever (576,000), up 11% on 2023.
Also:
  • Network 10 was up 21% week-on-week.
  • 10 was up 31% week-on-week.
  • 10 Bold was up 10% week-on-week and Nickelodeon was up 12%.
  • Deal Or No Deal lifted its timeslot 49% year-on-year.
  • The Project was up 6% week-on-week.

Last week (Thursday, 30 May), Taskmaster Australia reached 1.01 million total national viewers with 7-day viewing and was the #1 show in 16 to 39s!

MasterChef Australia – Sunday to Wednesday at 7.30pm on 10 and 10 Play.
