Seven News was #2 for the night with a reach lead of 303 000 and an average audience lead of 270 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #9 with 1 099 000 (736 000). Home and Away – Late was #8 with 1 104 000 (612 000). Mrs Brown’s Boys – episode 1 was #14 with 889 000 (478 000). Mrs Brown’s – episode 2 was #17 with 748 000 (448 000).

The Chase Australia was on 1 248 000 (586 000).

Nine

9News was #3 for the night. A Current Affair was #4 with 1 539 000 (971 000). Married at First Sight – Thursday was on 2 340 000 (1 229 000) and was the #1 program of the night. Emergency was #6 with 1 193 000 (482 000).

Tipping Point Australia was on 1 118 000 (547 000) but its worth noting that the program aired at 4pm in Perth.

The Project was #20 with 700 000 (282 000). The Dog House Australia was #16 with 774 000 (354 000). The Dog Hospital with Graeme Hall was #29 with 524 000 (210 000).

ABC

ABC News was #11 for the night. 730 was #10 with 1 060 000 (625 000). Grand Designs Transformations was #12 with 965 000. Martin Clunes: Islands of America was #21 with 672 000 (362 000).

How the Networks Analysed their Own Performance

NINE

  • Married at First Sight clocked up its fourth consecutive night as Australia’s No. 1 reality program with a National Total TV Reach of 2.340 million – more than 1.2 million viewers ahead of its nearest competitor.
  • Married at First Sight recorded a Total TV National Audience of 1.229 million (up 5.8% on the corresponding episode last year) and was a runaway timeslot winner in all metro capitals. It was the No. 1 program with Total People in Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane and the No. 2 program in Adelaide & Perth. 
  • Married at First Sight recorded a BVOD audience of 206,000 – up a massive 20.2% on the corresponding episode last year.
  • Tipping Point continues to be the No. 1 afternoon game show across the 5 City Metro with a National Total TV Reach of 1.118 million and a Total TV National Audience of 547,000. 
  • Tipping Point has significantly boosted viewing figures across its timeslot. Yesterday’s national audience lifted the timeslot by 32.8% when compared to the corresponding day last year.
  • 9News was the No. 1 news service with Total People in Melbourne. (where it was the No. 1 program with Total People and up 29% year-on-year).
  • A Current Affair was Australia’s No. 1 program at 7.00pm with a National Total TV Reach of 1.539 million and a Total TV National Audience of 971,000.
  • Today achieved a National Total TV Reach of 820,000 and was the No. 1 breakfast program in Sydney and Melbourne. 

The 9Network was No. 1 across the 5 City Metro with all key demos and Total People – for the fourth consecutive night.

Lifts Spirits And Timeslots.

The Dog House Australia reached 774,000 total national viewers (metro + regional + BVOD).

  • Averaged 354,000 total national viewers.
  • Lifts 10’s 7.30pm timeslot 76% week-on-week.
  • #2 in its 7.30pm timeslot in under 50s, 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.*

Deal Or No Deal reached 1.58 million total national viewers across the week

  • Lifts 10’s Monday to Friday 6pm timeslot 48% week-on-week.
  • Lifts 10’s Monday to Friday 6pm timeslot 54% year-on-year.

Last night, 10’s prime time metro audiences lifted 44% week-on-week, Network 10’s audience lifted 22%.
