Seven News was #1 for the night with a reach audience lead of 76 000 and an average audience lead of 4 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #9 with 1 112 000 (749 000). Home and Away – episode 2 was #11 with 869 000 (677 000). Home and Away – episode 3 was #12 with 819 000 (632 000). Clarkson’s Who Wants to Be a Millionaire UK was #14 with 769 000 (287 000). Air Crash Investigations was #33 with 471 000 (175 000). A repeat of Soham: Catching a Killer was #71 with 229 000 (94 000).

9News was #2 for the night. A Current Affair was #3 with 1 543 000 (1 073 000). Thursday Night NRL Live – Pre Match was #15 with 766 000 (448 000). ABC News was #7 for the night. 730 was #8 with 1 171 000 (671 000). Back Roads was #16 with 743 000 (501 000). Griff’s Great American South was #18 with 708 000 (320 000). An encore of The Family Next Door was #37 with 408 000 (104 000). ABC Late News was #75 with 213 000 (59 000). Culture By Design was #237 with 65 000 (25 000).

  • 9News was the No. 1 program and No. 1 news bulletin across Australia with People 25-54 and People 16-39. It was also the No. 1 news bulletin with Total People across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. The combined national bulletins registered a National Total TV Reach of 2.010 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.304 million, up 14.1% year-on-year. On 9Now, it claimed a BVOD Audience of 133,000, increasing by 46.2% on the same night last year.
  • A Current Affair dominated the 7.00pm timeslot across Australia with Total People and all key demographics. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 1.543 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.073 million – up 11.4% year-on-year. On 9Now, it recorded a BVOD Audience of 104,000, up 38.7% year-on-year.
  • Thursday Night NRL dominated its timeslot with Total People and all key demographics in Sydney and Brisbane. It registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.320 million and a Total TV National Audience of 583,000, up 1.2% on the same night last year. On 9Now, it secured a BVOD audience of 84,000, increasing by 33.3% year-on-year.
  • Tipping Point Australia was the No.1 afternoon game show across Australia with Total People and all key demographics. It registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.383 million and a Total TV National Audience of 779,000, increasing by 24.0% on the same day last year. On 9Now its BVOD Audience was 80,000, up a massive 73.9% year-on-year.
  • Today was the breakfast program of choice with Total People in Melbourne and Brisbane. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 817,000, a Total TV National Audience of 319,000. On 9Now it recorded a BVOD audience of 46,000, up 27.8% year-on-year.
  • The 9Network was the No.1 network on Thursday across the 5 City Metro with Total People and all key demographics.
  • 9Now was the No.1 CFTA BVOD platform on Thursday across Australia with People 25-54 and People 16-39.

  • National total TV audience share, 6.00am to midnight: 39.2%
  • National total TV audience share, 6.00pm to midnight: 37.5%
