Seven News was #1 for the night with a reach lead of 231 000 and an average audience lead of 173 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #10 with 1 115 000 (787 000). A second episode of Home and Away was #15 with 859 000 (691 000). A third episode of Home and Away was #17 with 823 000 (670 000). The movie, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason was #12 with 1 061 000 (272 000).

Nine

9News was #2 for the night. A Current Affair was #4 with 1 417 000 (954 000). RBT was #3 with 1 515 000 (658 000). Emergency was #8 with 1 186 000 (517 000). A+E After Dark was #19 with 767 000 (316 000). 9News Late was #43 with 390 000 (195 000).

Deal or No Deal was #37 with 424 000 (251 000). The Project was #21 with 716 000 (292 000). I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! was #9 with 1 159 000 (576 000). The Graham Norton Show was #16 with 843 000 (241 000).

ABC

ABC News was #11 for the night. 730 was #7 with 1 208 000 (765 000). Back Roads was #22 with 705 000 (518 000). Sue Perkins’ Big Adventure: Paris to Istanbul was #26 with 599 000 (306 000). A repeat of Grand Designs was #42 with 392 000 (188 000).

SBS

Finding Your Roots was #48 with 347 000 (110 000). Scotland’s Poshest Train with Alan Cumming was #40 with 410 000 (159 000).

  • 9News was the No.1 program of the night across the 5 City Metro and in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane with Total People, People 25-54 and GS18+. It registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.863 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.130 million – up 15.4% on the same night last year. On 9Now, its BVOD audience of 98,000 was up 48.5% year-on-year.
  • A Current Affair dominated the 7.00pm timeslot with Total People across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.417 million and a Total TV National Audience of 954,000. On 9Now, it recorded a BVOD Audience of 77,000 up 30.5% on the same night last year.
  • Tipping Point Australia was the No. 1 afternoon game show with Total People and all key demographics across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.279 million and a Total TV National Audience of 660,000– up 29.9% on the same night last year. On 9Now, it recorded a BVOD Audience of 51,000 – up 59.4% year-on-year. 
  • Today was the breakfast program of choice with Total People and all key demographics in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It secured a Total TV National Audience of 872,000 and a BVOD audience of 39,000 – up 18.2% on the same morning last year. 
  • RBT achieved a National Total TV Reach of 1.515 million, a Total TV National Audience of 658,000 and a BVOD Audience of 56,000 – up 40.0% year-on-year.
  • Emergency achieved a National Total TV Reach of 1.186 million, a Total TV National Audience of 517,000 and a BVOD Audience of 39,000 – up 39.3% on the same night last year.
  • The 9Network was the No. 1 network across the 5 City Metro with Total People and all key demographics. 
  • 9Now was the No.1 CFTA BVOD platform on Thursday across Australia recording shares in excess of 49% with Total People and all key demographics.

·       National total TV audience share, 6.00pm to midnight: 37.8%
