Seven News was #1 for the night with a reach lead of 265 000 and an average audience lead of 48 000 over 9News. Farmer Wants a Wife was #4 with 1 936 000 (1 000 000). 7NEWS Spotlight was #6 with 1 381 000 (459 000). The Latest: Seven News was #24 with 520 000 (268 000). A repeat of Code 1: Minute by Minute was #40 with 378 000 (136 000).

Nine

9News was #3 for the night. Travel Guides was #2 with 2 161 000 (986 000). 60 Minutes was #5 with 1 419 000 (585 000). 9News Late was #32 with 463 000 (237 000). Footy Furnace was #42 with 347 000 (105 000).

The Sunday Project was #12 with 833 000 (286 000). MasterChef Australia was #8 with 1 152 000 (619 000). FBI was #18 with 622 000 (273 000). A repeat of FBI was #45 with 337 000 (187 000).

ABC

ABC News was #10 for the night. Call the Midwife was #13 with 810 00 (495 000). After the Party was #29 with 480 000 (247 000).

  • Travel Guides launched as the No. 1 entertainment program with Total People across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney and Melbourne. It was also the No. 1 Program with the key demographics of People 25-54 and People 16-39 across Australia. 
  • Travel Guides registered a National Total TV Reach of 2.161 million and a Total TV National Audience of 986,000 – up 7.1% year-on-year. On 9Now, it achieved a BVOD audience of 67,000 – up a significant 17.5% on the corresponding episode last year. 
  • 9News Sunday was the No. 1 program with Total People across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney and Melbourne. In Sydney, the bulletin was 81,000 viewers ahead of its nearest competitor and in Melbourne, the bulletin was 45,000 viewers ahead of its nearest competitor. 
  • 9News Sunday secured a National Total TV Reach of 2.076 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.213 million. Its BVOD audience of 71,000 was up 24.6% on the same night last year.
  • Sunday Afternoon NRL Live registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.097 million and a Total TV National Audience of 453,000, easily winning the afternoon timeslot with Total People in Sydney. Its BVOD audience of 39,000 was up 30.0% on the same day last year.
  • 60 Minutes achieved a comfortable timeslot win with Total People across Australia and in all metro capitals. It recorded a Total TV National Audience of 585,000 – up 12.5% on the same night last year and a BVOD audience of 39,000 – up 44.4% year-on-year.

Weekend Today was the preferred morning program in Melbourne. It attracted a National Total TV Reach of 749,000 and a Total TV National Audience of 275,000 – up 8.7% year-on-year. Its BVOD audience of 24,000 was up a massive 41.2% on the same morning last year.

MasterChef Australia 2024 Is Achieving Its Biggest Ever Audiences On 10 Play, Up 22% on 2023.

Luke Nguyen brought in an array of Southeast Asian ingredients for our contestants to cook with in a two round elimination challenge.

MasterChef Australia:

  • 1.15 million total national viewers reached.
  • 34,000 live stream viewers, up 13% on the same episode last year.
  • Season-to-date: Biggest BVOD audiences ever (134,000), up 22% on 2023 average.

Last week, Week 20 2024:

  • MasterChef Australia (Sunday, 12 May) reached 1.52 million total national viewers with 7 day viewing.
  • MasterChef Australia is achieving its biggest ever 10 Play audiences, up 22% on 2023 average.
  • 10 Play continues its biggest year ever – up 36% year-to-date.
  • Have You Been Paying Attention? returned reaching 1.41 million Australians, achieving its biggest ever live stream audience and was #1 in its timeslot.
