Seven News was #3 for the night with a reach loss of 59 000 and an average audience lead of 24 000 over 9News. Dream Home was #4 with 1 743 000 (801 000). 7NEWS Spotlight was #8 with 1 149 000 (567 000). The Latest: Seven News was #22 with 655 000 (339 000). A repeat of Code 1: Minute by Minute was #39 with 399 000 (167 000).

Nine

9News was #1 for the night. Travel Guides was #2 with 2 209 000 (1 177 000). 60 Minutes was #5 with 1 621 000 (752 000). A repeat of The Murder of Lyn Dawson was #13 with 853 000 (399 000). 9News Late was #38 with 412 000 (231 000).

The Sunday Project was #12 with 940 000 (378 000). MasterChef Australia was #7 with 1 220 000 (668 000). Tulsa King was #26 with 582 000 (198 000).

ABC

ABC News was #6 for the night. Spicks and Specks was #10 with 969 000 (707 000). Austin was #19 with 719 000 (481 000). Ladies in Black was #23 with 643 000 (380 000). A repeat of The Split was #45 with 352 000 (142 000).

  • 9News was Australia’s No.1 program with Total People. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 2.241 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.360 million – up 9% year-on-year. Its BVOD audience of 93,000 was up 55% on the same night last year.
  • In Sydney, 9News recorded a Total TV Audience of 285,000 – 89,000 viewers ahead of its nearest competitor.
  • In Melbourne, 9News recorded a Total TV audience of 311,000 – 80,000 viewers ahead of its nearest competitor.
  • Travel Guides was Sunday’s No. 1 entertainment program across Australia and in all mainland capitals. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 2.209 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.177 million, lifting the timeslot by 38.8% when compared to the same night last year. On 9Now, it registered a BVOD audience of 84,000.
  • 60 Minutes won its timeslot across Australia and in all mainland capitals. It secured a Total TV National Audience of 752,000 (up 37.5% year-on-year) and a BVOD audience of 52,000 (up 79.3% year-on-year).
  • Sunday Afternoon NRL Live recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.148 million and a Total TV National Audience of 498,000 (up 6% year-on-year), winning its timeslot in Sydney and Brisbane. Its BVOD audience of 45,000 was up 28.6% on the same day last year.
  • The Murder of Lyn Dawson won its late night slot across Australia with a Total TV National Audience of 399,000.
  • In Melbourne, the 5.30pm Postcards recorded  a bumper Total TV Average audience of 177,000.
     
  • The 9Network was No.1 across the 5 City Metro with all key demos and Total People.

9Now was the No. 1 CFTA BVOD service across Australia with all key demos and Total People.

Weekend Sunrise:National reach 948,000, national audience 377,000. #1 breakfast program. 35% more viewers than Weekend Today.

MasterChef Australia’s Flavourful Debut In Hong Kong Reaches 1.22 Million.

MasterChef Australia Lifts 9% Week-On-Week.

MasterChef Australia is in Hong Kong! The location for their first cook is at Art Park in West Kowloon Cultural District, on the edge of Victoria Harbour. The Mystery Box ingredients are unveiled, a celebration of Hong Kong. There is 

Pork belly, Flower Crab, Gai Lan, Red scallions, Fermented bean curd, Ginger, Dried shrimp, Lap cheong (Chinese sausage), Warm spices (including dried mandarin, cloves, black cardamon, fennel seeds, star anise, cassia bark), Milk tea, Mangosteen, Yam bean (Jicama), Soy sauce and Aged fermented tea. They will have 75 mins and must use at least one of the ingredients. 

MasterChef Australia:

  • 1.22 million total national viewers reached.
  • Up 9% week-on-week.
  • Up 5% in 25 to 54s week-on-week, and 6% in 16 to 39s.
  • Live stream: 39,000 viewers, up 31% on the same episode last year.
  • Biggest BVOD audiences ever (139,000), up 26% on 2023 average.

It saw strong week-on-week and year-on-year lifts.

  • Network 10 (10 + 10 Bold Drama + 10 Peach Comedy + Nickelodeon) up 5% week-on-week.
  • 10 up 12% week-on-week.
  • The Sunday Project: Up 20% week-on-week.
  • 10 News First 5pm: Up 11% year-on-year.
  • 10 News First 6pm: Up 15% year-on-year.

 

With 7 day viewing MasterChef Australia (Sunday, 16 June) reached 1.36 million Australians.

Looking back at Week 25 (16 to 22 June):

·                     10 and 10 Play reached 9.52 million Australians, last week.

·                     1.1 million watched 10 Play last week.

·                     10 Play surges with its biggest year yet.

·                     10 Play is up 28% across the year-to-date.

·                     Have You Been Paying Attention? Is averaging 1.01 million total viewers, up 3% year-on-year.

·                     The Cheap Seats is averaging 578,000 total viewers, up 7% year-on-year.

·                     Taskmaster Australia is averaging 558,000, up 8% year-on-year.
