Analysis for Total TV (30 October, 2022) and Overnight (6 November, 2022) ratings.

TOTAL TV

The Block was #1 overall in the Total TV report with 1,760 000 viewers, an uplift of 23%. Nine News Sunday was #3 with 1,123 000, which represented a 4% lift. With a strong lead in, 60 Minutes had a big night with 858 000, a rise of 14%. Nine News Late – Sunday was up 6% to 421 000 viewers. During the day, Nine News: First at Five had 270 000 viewers, up 3%. Weekend Today was on 222 000, up 6%.

Seven News Sunday was #2 for the evening with 1,330 000, up 3%. Australia’s Got Talent was on exactly 900 000, a rise of 13%. The special, Prince Andrew: Banished rose 16% to 510 000. Earlier in the day, Supercars Championship: Gold Coast 500 Sunday Race had 478 000, up 4%, whilst the Supports/Qualifying component was on 300 000, up 4%. Weekend Sunrise was up 3% to 382 000, whilst thee early portion of the program was up 4% also to 257 000.

10 News First had 321 000 viewers, up 2%, whilst the 6pm half hour was on 254 000, also up 2%. The Sunday Project 6:30pm was on 256 000, up 4%, but that figure rose to 335 000 at 7pm, up 4% also. The Traitors was up a healthy 35% to end up with audience of 399 000. NCIS: Hawaii showed a strong gain of 32% for an audience of 250 000.

ABC News Sunday was #6 for the evening with 628 000 viewers up 4%. Inside the Sydney Opera House performed well, landing at #8 with 520 000, up 6%. Significant Others rose a massive 46% to 517 000 viewers. Silent Witness grew even more at 62% to 405 000. Landline was at #16 with 380 000, up 11%. Also making the Top 30 was Antiques Roadshow, up 7% to 249 000, Offsiders up 7% to 247 000 and an encore of Frankly up 6% to 224 000, Insiders had a strong showing landing overall at #7 with 523 000 viewers, a rise of 19%.

SBS made the Top 30 with SBS World News on 254 000, up 4% and Curse of the Ancients up 8% to 252 000.

OVERNIGHT RATINGS

Winner: 9Gem (3.9%)

Second: 7mate (3.0%)


Analysis

The Block completely blew away the competition with a massive 1,692 000 viewers for the Winner Announced section of the show. Even the main component of the show sat at a very healthy 1,384 000. Nine News Sunday was on 777 000 and had wins in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. 60 Minutes was huge with its strong lead in, capturing an overnight audience of 700 000. Nine News Late Sunday was on 395 000. The First 48 had 164 000, whilst the late night Killer Couples was watched by 82 000.

Seven News was #3 for the night with wins in Adelaide and Perth. Australia’s Got Talent was on 475 000. The final episode of Armed and Dangerous had 207 000 at 8:30pm. Monster Mansion: Evil Behind Bars had 116 000 viewers late night.

The Sunday Project 6:30pm had 189 000, but that figure rose to 209 000 at 7pm. The Traitors had just 206 000. NCIS: Hawaii was on 137 000 and a repeat of FBI had 111 000 viewers.

Inside the Sydney Opera House had 323 000. Significant Others was on just 194 000, but that is expected to rise sharply in Total TV. Silent Witness was on 181 000.
