TOTAL TV
Seven News was the only program to crack the 1 million viewer mark last Saturday with a total audience of 1, 127 000 viewers, an uplift of 2%. A repeat of Border Security: Australia’s Front line was the 5th most watched show of the evening, increasing by 4% to 643 000.
Nine News had a total audience of 920 000, up 3%, with the Saturday edition of A Current Affair up 5% to 658 000.
In terms of percentage lifts the ABC was strong with ABC News the third most watched program of the night, up 3% to 757 000, Marriage increasing by 50% to 361 000, Vera up 19% to 206 000 and Midsomer Murders up 15% to 169 000.
Luxury Escapes on 10 rose by 10% to 190 000.

Analysis
Seven News ranked first overall in the five capital cities at 739 000, with wins in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. Some might call it a filler, but a repeat of Border Security: Australia’s Front Line was fifth overall for the night at 412 000 viewers. The movie Ford v Ferrari did 244 000 for Seven.
Nine News was second overall for the night and won its slot in Sydney. A Current Affair won the 7pm slot with a small win over Border Security at 447 000 viewers. The FTA premiere of Wonder Woman 1984 did 271 000.
ABC started strong with ABC News at 447 000, then a repeat of Death in Paradise on 363 000 and winning that 7:30pm hour slot. The Capture ‘captured’ 260 000 viewers.
After 10 News First, the only other program to appear in the top 20 was a repeat of The Dog House Australia which garnered 180 000 viewers.
