Analysis
Seven
Seven News – Saturday was #1 with wins in Sydney, Adelaide and Perth. Seven missed Melbourne by just 1000 viewers. Seven’s AFL: Saturday Night Football was #4 with 311 000 fans. Seven’s AFL: Saturday Night Football – Pre Match was #20 with 134 000 viewers.
NSW Decides 2023 – 57 000.
Nine
Nine News Saturday was #2 with wins in Melbourne and Brisbane. A Current Affair – Saturday was #5 with 300 000 viewers. Space Invaders was #11 with 184 000, but the show was not screened in Sydney. Nine have decided to just skip this episode on broadcast in this market, rather than be one episode behind the network, play a double next week or show the episode in a different slot. The movie, Yesterday was #14 with 168 000 and screened at 8:30pm in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, but late night in Sydney after the NSW Election coverage.
Election 2022: NSW Decides – Vote Count – 105 000.
10
A repeat of Bondi Rescue was on 84 000. An encore of The Dog House Australia was on 96 000. Blue Bloods was on 87 000. CSI: Vegas was on 90 000. The season final of FBI: International was on 81 000. A NCIS encore was on 51 000.
FBI: International has been 10’s top rating performer on Saturday nights in Total TV, despite the show airing at 9:30pm. In a strange move, 10 will not move straight into season 2 and instead will leave the show on the shelf. 10’s highest profile Saturday drama, NCIS: Los Angeles has previously been pulled from the schedule, despite it being the last season and denying fans a chance to see the show fast tracked for its finale. The lower rating The Dog House Australia (encore) in Total TV is being rewarded with a double episode run on Saturdays starting in 2 weeks with repeats at 6:30 and 7:30 and pushing Blue Bloods and CSI: Vegas to 8:30 and 9:30 slots respectively. Strange programming decisions.
ABC
ABC News – Saturday was #3. The Larkins was #6 with 281 000. Under the Vines was #13 with 177 000. Both UK dramas were played late night in Sydney due to NSW Election coverage.
NSW Votes: Election Results Live – 220 000.
The strong result in Sydney, gave the ABC as a network #2 share overall for the night, placing Nine in #3 spot.
