Analysis
Seven
Seven News was #1 with wins in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Seven News at 6:30 was #2 with wins in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Home and Away was #10 with 473 000. Blow Up was #19 with 288 000 viewers. It was always going to be ambitious, launching a show about balloon artistry and clearly viewers were not in favour. The show has only a short run, so it may stay in the schedule intact. 911 was #33 with 169 000 viewers. 911: Lone Star was #43 with 117 000. The Latest: Seven News was on 63 000. A late night repeat of 10 Years Younger in 10 Days had 29 000 viewers.
Nine
Nine News was #3 and had a win in Brisbane. Nine News 6:30 was #4 with a win in Sydney and Brisbane. A Current Affair was #5 overall, but #1 in its slot with 700 000. The Summit – Monday was #14 with 400 000. The major concern for this show is that, despite less competition (no Farmer Wants a Wife) and having Seven fail with Blow Up, the ratings for episode 2 of The Summit did not increase at all – in fact they fell.
RPA aired at 8:45pm for #23 and 243 000 viewers. Nine News Late – Monday was #36 with 159 000. There was a split schedule at 10:15pm with Sydney and Brisbane receiving 100% Footy for 39 000 and Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth going to Footy Classified for 80 000. The combined total of 119 000 viewers just barely beat 911: Lone Star. The network realigned for a repeat of The Equalizer on 37 000.
10
The Project 6:30pm was #28 with 197 000 viewers. The Project 7pm was #18 with 321 000. MasterChef Australia was #9 with 552 000 and was easily the #1 show in the slot in total people, 16-39 and 25-54. Have You Been Paying Attention was #6 with 633 000, was #1 in it slot and was the #1 non news show of the night in primetime. Just for Laughs Australia was strong at #24 with 239 000.
