Seven News was #1 for the night with a lead of 93 000 and an average audience lead of 55 000 over 9News. Home and Away was #8 with 1 400 000 (902 000). A repeat of The 1% Club was #7 with 1 443 000 (791 000). Stranded on Honeymoon Island – Monday was #16 with 921 000 (294 000). 911 was #35 with 469 000 (216 000). The Agenda Setters was #43 with 405 000 (167 000).

The Chase – UK – 408 000 (196 000)

Nine

9News was #2 for the night. A Current Affair was #4 with 1 816 000 (1 200 000). Parental Guidance – Monday was #3 with 1 829 000 (729 000). Footy Classified aired in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth and was #37 with 431 000 (160 000). 100% Footy aired in Sydney and Brisbane and was #41 with 411 000 (152 000). 2025 Wimbledon Day 1 – Night was #44 with 404 000 (235 000).

Tipping Point UK (R) – 575 000 (338 000)

10 News+ was #20 for the night. Deal or No Deal was #22 with 763 000 (351 000). MasterChef Australia – Monday was #9 with 1 340 000 (665 000). Have You Been Paying Attention was #12 with 1 234 000 (774 000). Inspired Unemployed (Impractical) Jokers was #36 with 457 000 (216 000). 10’s Late News was on 254 000 (137 000).

ABC

ABC News was #11 for the night. 730 was #10 with 1 323 000 (819 000). Australian Story was #14 with 1 036 000 (754 000). Four Corners was #13 with 1 160 000 (735 000). Media Watch was #19 with 821 000 (651 000). Jane Austen: Rise of a Genius was #25 with 653 000 (259 000). ABC Late News was on 261 000 (74 000).

Antiques Roadshow – 516 000 (250 000)

Claire Hooper’s Game of Games – 181 000 (65 000)

How the Networks Analysed their Own Performance

  • Parental Guidance launched as Australia’s No. 1 entertainment program with People 25-54 and People 16-39. It also won its timeslot with Total People in Brisbane. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.829 million and a Total TV National Audience of 729,000. Its BVOD Audience of 90,000 was up a huge 52.5%. This is the highest overnight BVOD audience in series history.
  • 9News was the No.1 news bulletin with Total People across the 5 City Metro and in the three largest capital cities of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. The combined national bulletins claimed a National Total TV Reach of 2.229 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.447 million (up 11.4% year-on-year). On 9Now, its BVOD Audience of 147,000 was up a massive 45.5% on the same night last year.
  • A Current Affair dominated the 7.00pm timeslot across Australia and in all five metro capitals. It registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.816 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.200 million (up 13.4% year-on-year). On 9Now, it recorded a BVOD Audience of 111,000 – up 44.2% year-on-year.
  • Tipping Point Australia was the No. 1 afternoon game show across Australia with Total and all key demographics. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 1.609 million and a Total TV National Audience of 878,000 (up 10.0% on the same day last year). On 9Now, it recorded a BVOD Audience of 88,000 – up a massive 54.4% year-on-year. This is the highest overnight BVOD audience in series history. 
  • Today was the breakfast program of choice across Australia with People 25-54, as well as with Total People in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 836,000, a Total TV National Audience of 325,000 and a BVOD audience of 44,000 – up 25.7% year-on-year.
  • The 9Network was the No.1 network on Monday across the 5 City Metro with Total People and all key demographics. 
  • 9Now was the No.1 CFTA BVOD platform on Monday across Australia with Total People and all key demographics.

Seven wins Monday – 7NEWS #1 program

  • Seven #1 nationally in total TV
  • National total TV audience share, 6.00am to midnight: 39.6%
  • National total TV audience share, 6.00pm to midnight: 38.6%
  • 7plus: up 27.2% year-on-year
  • 7NEWS: #1 program, reaches 2.32 million
  • The Chase Australia: reaches 1.45 million
