Big Bash League hits all time high on Kayo – A thrilling 2023/24 KFC Big Bash League has seen record streaming audiences on Kayo Sports with fans now preparing for a week of unmissable finals matches.

Viewership data from games 1-37 of the regular season shows a 16 per cent growth YoY, making it the most streamed BBL series of all time. In total there were more than 558 million minutes streamed across live action, pre and post-game coverage and short-form content including Kayo Minis.

Aaron Finch’s farewell captured the hearts and minds of Kayo subscribers with more than 170,000 people streaming his final BBL innings against the Melbourne Stars, exclusive to Fox Cricket – culminating in the #1 streaming audience of all time for a regular season game.

Short-form viewership of BBL content is also booming with average views of Kayo Mini’s more than doubling compared to BBL 12 – up 112 per cent.

Meanwhile, Fox Cricket’s BBL highlights on social media have reached 56.2 million people and clocked more than 11.5 million engagements since the start of the season.

Innovation continues to be a major focus of the Fox Cricket coverage this series with the introduction of Electro Stumps, a new technology that lights up LED stumps when a wicket is taken or a boundary is smashed.

Fox Cricket General Manager Matt Weiss said:

“The backbone of our BBL season has been our world-class commentary team. Led by Adam Gilchrist and Mark Howard the addition of international broadcasters like Ravi Shastri, Ian Smith, Michael Vaughan, Isa Guha, Harsha Bhogle and Wasim Akram has taken our Fox Cricket broadcasts to another level”.

Finals kick off tonight with pre-game coverage from 7pm as the Heat and Sixers clash in the Qualifier, while the Scorchers and Strikers will go head-to-head on Saturday in the Knockout fixture.

Fox Cricket, available on Kayo Sports and Foxtel, will continue to be the only place to watch and stream every ball from every game across the BBL season until the end of the 2030-31 summer.
