Power: Origins on Stan in development

Power: Origins on Stan – Stan today announced the development of a new Power Universe prequel series, Power: Origins, which will premiere exclusively on Stan. From executive producer Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson, the brand new series will continue to explore the Power universe in a fresh way, delving into the origin story of fan-favourite characters Ghost and Tommy.

Power: Origins will mark the fourth spin-off of the hugely popular Power series, preceded by Power Book II: Ghost, which will premiere later this year, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, which is currently filming its fourth season in New York and Power Book IV: Force which is currently filming its third season in Chicago.

The franchise first launched in 2014 and centred around James St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick), a drug dealer nicknamed ‘Ghost’ whose only wish was to leave the world of crime behind.

Power followed Ghost as he tried to live two lives: one as a nightclub owner with a loving family at home, and one where he worked with his longtime friend Tommy (Joseph Sikora) to distribute narcotics.

Sascha Penn is the executive producer for Power: Origins. The Power Universe series is executive produced by the creator and showrunner of the original Power, Courtney A. Kemp through her production company End of Episode, Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson through G-Unit Film and Television, and Mark Canton through Canton Entertainment. Lionsgate Television produces Power: Origins for STARZ.

Power: Origins on Stan – is in development. Every episode of the Power Universe is now streaming, only on Stan.
