Paul Murray Live on Sky News Australia celebrates 15 years – Sky News Australia will mark a special television milestone as the network’s longest-running opinion program Paul Murray Live celebrates 15 years of bringing Australians straight-talking and common sense thinking to the issues they care about.

A special edition of the program will air on Wednesday 26 November at 9:00pm AEDT offering viewers a surprising look behind the lens at one of Australia’s most recognisable broadcasters.

In this anniversary special, Sky News host and long-time friend Laura Jayes will take the reins, turning the tables on Paul Murray for an in-depth and intimate conversation that reflects on the program’s evolution, its most memorable moments, and the man behind the microphone.
Paul Murray Live on Sky News Australia celebrates 15 years

Over the past 15 years, Paul Murray Live has become a cornerstone of the Sky News primetime line-up. Throughout its run, Paul has interviewed some of the world’s most prominent figures, from political powerbrokers to cultural icons. His candid approach and unwavering commitment to giving everyday Australians a voice have earned the program a loyal national audience.

Beyond the studio, Paul has travelled across the country through the Paul Murray Live: Our Town series, showcasing the people, communities and stories that define regional Australia. His advocacy has also extended to charity, helping raise vital funds for numerous organisations and causes close to Australians’ hearts.

Paul Murray said:

“I’ve got the best seat in the house. To live these wild times and to be able to share my perspective on the big stories is an endless honour. I never take for granted that in a busy world the show has become a part of so many people’s day. I love this gig and look forward to being a constant for our audience for a long time to come.

“I want to thank anyone who has been on the show, the very talented people who have helped me make it, Sky News and News Corp management for their endless support, everyone who has watched for a night or for years in a row and most importantly my family. It’s nice to take a moment to smell the roses, then it’s back to work tomorrow.”

Sky News Australia Chief Executive Officer, Paul Whittaker, said:

“Congratulations to Paul Murray on an extraordinary 15 years hosting Paul Murray Live, our network’s longest-running opinion program. This milestone reflects not only his exceptional talent as a fearless straight talker, but his absolute passion for this great country of ours and a deep commitment to informing and engaging with his audience on the issues they care about most.”

Join us as we celebrate a broadcaster, a mate, and a voice for everyday Australians.
