Speaker line-up revealed for 2025 In the Frame: Screen Queensland Practitioners Forum – Screen Queensland has announced the line-up of industry leaders secured for its signature annual event, In the Frame: Screen Queensland Practitioners Forum, being held in Brisbane on Thursday 17 September.
Wiradjuri producer Mitch Stanley (No Coincidence Media, The Moogai), Commissioner of the Year Lana Greenhalgh (Head of Scripted at Foxtel Group), distribution dynamo Jason Behan (Apocalypso) and CEO of Othelia Technologies, Kate Armstrong-Smith (proprietary IP platform Storykeeper) are among those confirmed for the popular forum at the State Library of Queensland.
In The Frame is a one-day industry event for emerging and mid-career screen practitioners to explore everything from impactful indie features, Queensland stories for a global market, multiplatform monetisation and AI as creative friend of foe.
Minister for the Arts John-Paul Langbroek said that In the Frame: Screen Queensland Practitioners Forum has become an unmissable and accessible opportunity for the local industry to focus on professional development.
“The Crisafulli Government is proud to support Queensland’s thriving screen sector, and events like In the Frame reflect our commitment to building skills, innovation and opportunities that grow the creative economy while sharing homegrown stories.”
Screen Queensland CEO Jacqui Feeney said that this year’s In the Frame line-up offers attendees a chance to hear from local creatives, leading commissioners and industry decision makers through practical panels and illuminating conversations, while also making new connections across the sector.
“This is a day for Queensland practitioners to put their own careers in the frame with some of the industry’s best and brightest discussing the topics, trends and tips that matter.
“Attendees will also learn more about our funding programs for local practitioners and projects, gain insights into homegrown productions that made their mark on the global stage and explore ways our sector can collectively push the envelope when it comes to excellence in Australian screen stories.”
For the first time, ticket holders will also have an opportunity to apply for 1:1 meetings with attending panelists the day following the event.
In the Frame: Screen Queensland Practitioners Forum tickets are $65 (plus booking fee), including lunch and networking refreshments, and are selling fast via screenqueensland.com.au.
