Lotterywest breaks another record with $10.8 million grant to Screenwest for 2025-26 – The Government of Western Australia, through Lotterywest, has provided Screenwest with a $10.8 million grant to boost Western Australia’s expanding screen industry, help tell more Western Australian generated stories and support local screen talent and production companies.
Screenwest is pleased to announce the Government of Western Australia through Lotterywest, has provided the organisation with a record grant of $10.8 million for 2025-26.
Building on its $9.2 million grant for 2023-24 and $10.7 million grant for 2024-25, the 2025-26 grant highlights Lotterywest’s commitment to supporting local film and television production across the State.
Local production is a key driver of industry growth and is vital to the sustainability of the Western Australian screen sector. The 2025-26 grant will allow Screenwest to double down on its support of Western Australian screen talent, companies and locally generated story production.

Since 1995, Screenwest has benefitted from 41 Lotterywest grants totalling more than $171 million.
Lotterywest is the only State Government owned and operated lottery in the country where all available profits are returned to the community.
