HBO Max launches on Fetch as Warner Bros. Discovery expands partnership – Fetch TV customers can now access HBO Max directly through their devices, with Fetch and Warner Bros. Discovery announcing a major expansion of their long-running Australian partnership.
From today, the HBO Max app is available on Fetch Gen4 and Gen5 devices, allowing subscribers to sign in with an existing HBO Max account or subscribe directly through the platform.
The agreement also sees the renewal of Warner Bros. Discovery’s suite of television channels on Fetch, alongside the return of Cartoon Network and the launch of a brand-new factual channel.
HBO Max arrives on Fetch
The addition of HBO Max gives Fetch users direct access to one of the world’s fastest-growing streaming services from the comfort of their home screen.
Subscribers can stream HBO Originals including House of the Dragon, The Last of Us, Euphoria, The White Lotus and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, alongside Max Originals such as The Pitt and And Just Like That….
The platform also features blockbuster film franchises including the Harry Potter collection and DC titles, as well as popular series including Friends, Rick and Morty and The Big Bang Theory.
A subscription to HBO Max is required to access content through the app.
Cartoon Network returns to Fetch
As part of the expanded partnership, Cartoon Network has officially returned to Fetch.
The popular family entertainment channel is now available through the Kids Pack and Ultimate Pack, while new factual channel Xxtreme Jobs joins the Vibe Pack and Ultimate Pack line-up.
Fetch and Warner Bros. Discovery have also renewed agreements covering a broad range of existing channels, including Discovery, Investigation Discovery, CNN International, TLC, Animal Planet, HGTV, Food Network and TRVL.
A growing entertainment hub
Fetch CEO Dominic Arena said the expanded deal reinforced the company’s focus on providing customers with greater choice and convenience.
“We are thrilled to welcome HBO Max to the Fetch platform, providing our customers with seamless access to subscribe to HBO Max and stream some of the world’s most acclaimed content,” Arena said.
Warner Bros. Discovery Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand, Michael Brooks, said the partnership would help bring the company’s content to even more Australian audiences.
“Combined with our linear offerings, this partnership ensures more Australian audiences can access our world-class brands and trusted content across both streaming and linear platforms,” Brooks said.
The partnership between Fetch and Warner Bros. Discovery dates back more than 15 years, with the latest agreement broadening the entertainment options available to Australian households through the Fetch ecosystem.
HBO Max is now available on Fetch Gen4 and Gen5 devices.
