Animal Logic, ITV and Roadshow Films Join Australian Children’s Content Summit Pitch – Australian creators will have a rare opportunity to pitch directly to leading broadcasters, platforms, distributors, studios, investors and theatrical buyers as part of the 2026 Exclusive Content Pitch at this year’s Australian Children’s Content Summit.

Applications are now open for the initiative, which will return in 2026 with a major group of local and international decision makers looking for new children’s and family content.

Animal Logic Entertainment will attend for the first time, joining returning industry leaders including ITV and Roadshow Films.

The expanded marketplace is designed to connect Australian creators with executives actively seeking animated and live action series, as well as feature films for children and family audiences.

Representatives will also attend from ABC, ABC Commercial, Australian Children’s Television Foundation, FNX Television, Mediacorp, Minderoo Pictures, Nine Network Australia, NITV, Odin’s Eye Entertainment, Sesame Workshop, Hooligan Animation, Tiger Aspect Kids & Family, TVOKids and VIVA Pictures.

The Exclusive Content Pitch will take place on the second day of the summit.

Successful applicants will receive 10 minutes to present their project. This will be followed by questions and discussion with the industry representatives who selected their project.

Animal Logic Entertainment Executive Vice President Felicity Staunton said the company was looking forward to meeting new Australian creative voices.

“We’re beyond excited to connect with a new wave of unique Australian creators developing ideas across animation, live action and feature film.

“Animal Logic Entertainment has always believed in encouraging ambitious projects that take big creative swings with global, commercial appeal.

“Great stories start with meaningful collaborations, and we look forward to working together to share original Australian grown content with the world.”

ITV Plc Acquisitions Manager Tyler Martin said ITVX Kids was focused on content for 6 to 12-year-olds.

“Our primary focus at ITVX Kids is content for 6–12-year-olds, and we’re open to exploring projects across all genres, with the exception of educational programming.

“We know our audience responds best to shows that are bright, bold and fast-paced, with a cheeky, mischievous sense of humour.

“We’re particularly looking for content that would sit comfortably alongside some of our most popular titles, including Mr Bean: The Animated Series, LEGO Ninjago, Scooby-Doo, Thunderbirds Are Go and Barbie.

“While our priority remains the 6–12 space, we would also consider preschool content if it’s based on a well-known and established IP.”

Roadshow Films’ Head of Australian Content Edwina Waddy said the company was looking for wide release family film ideas.

“Roadshow Films has had great success in connecting family audiences to local stories over many years.

“We’re looking for wide release family film ideas that will delight kids and adults alike and have the potential to become school holiday ‘must-see’ events.”

SLR Productions CEO and Australian Children’s Content Summit Founder Suzanne Ryan said the pitch initiative had become one of the summit’s most valuable opportunities.

“The Exclusive Content Pitch is one of the most valuable opportunities we offer creators because it goes beyond networking and puts projects directly in front of the people who can help bring them to life.

“This year we’re welcoming an outstanding group of broadcasters, platforms, distributors, investors, co-producers and theatrical buyers from Australia and around the world, all actively seeking new children’s and family content.

“We’re already seeing the impact of the Exclusive Content Pitch, with projects progressing into development and production and new partnerships formed over the past three years.

“We’re excited to build on that momentum in 2026.”

Applications for the 2026 Exclusive Content Pitch close at midnight on 15 July 2026.

The 2026 Australian Children’s Content Summit will be held from Monday 24 August to Thursday 27 August 2026 at Pacific Bay Resort in Coffs Harbour.

Presented by SLR Productions, the summit will again welcome the Australian Children’s Television Foundation as Principal Partner.

Screen Australia and Screen NSW return as Major Government Partners, with YouTube and Minderoo Foundation also supporting the event as Major Partners.

Since launching in 2023, the Australian Children’s Content Summit has attracted more than 260 delegates from 12 countries each year.

Past attendees have included senior executives from ABC, NITV, BBC, BBC Studios, CBC, PBS Kids, Apple TV+, Disney, Netflix, Sony, Paramount, ITV, Amazon Kids+ Originals, Warner Bros Discovery Kids, YouTube, Nine Network, Hello Sunshine, Sinking Ship Entertainment and Wildbrain.

The summit has helped generate development partnerships, project commissions, international collaborations, career pathways and strategic business relationships.

Dr Emma Watkins, creator of the ARIA Award-winning children’s brand Emma Memma, will again host the summit.

This year’s program will include speaker sessions, pitching opportunities, workshops, curated matchmaking, networking events and outdoor experiences against the backdrop of the New South Wales Coffs Coast.
