NFL on ESPN week 5 broadcast schedule

NFL on ESPN – ESPN brings SEVEN live NFL games in Week Five headlined by huge heavyweight showdowns between the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams.

The Week Five action begins Friday October 6 when the Chicago Bears meet the Washington Commanders at 11.15am AEDT.

Chicago is still looking for their first victory of the season, after a narrow 31-28 defeat to Denver in Week Four.

They run into a Commanders outfit who have had a mixed start to the new season, going 2-2 across the first four games. Back at home at FedEx Field, Washington will hope to keep pace with conference rivals Dallas and Philadelphia.

Monday October 9 has a bumper five games back-to-back and a total of 21 hours of LIVE NFL across the day.

It kicks off at 12.30am AEDT when the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Buffalo Bills face off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in England.

The Jags made the ideal start to their London road trip, comfortably seeing off Atlanta 23-7 at Wembley.

Buffalo will be a different proposition in Week Five though – the Bills sent a strong message to the entire NFL with a stunning 48-20 victory against the Dolphins last round.

At 4am AEDT, the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers meet in a clash between the top two in the AFC North.

The Ravens currently top the conference and can pull two games clear of the Steelers with victory on Monday morning AEDT.

Pittsburgh will need to bounce back strongly after a disappointing defeat last time out, falling 30-6 to the Houston Texans.

Baltimore meanwhile was slick in a 28-3 win over another AFC North rival, Cleveland.

Also, at 4am AEDT over on ESPN2, the New York Giants battle the Miami Dolphins.

It has been a very different start to the season for the Giants and Dolphins.

Miami have been one of the hottest sides to watch in the NFL, sitting at 3-1 and no one has scored more points than the Dolphins so far this season.

They were brought back to earth last week, thumped 48-20 by the Bills.

New York just did not get going in the 24-3 defeat to the Seahawks and it could be another long day should Tua Tagovailoa and his offense get in their groove.

The blockbuster clashes follow at 7am AEDT, when two heavyweights of the NFC division face off as Philadelphia Eagles tackle the Los Angeles Rams live on ESPN.

The high-flying Eagles are undefeated across the first month of the new season, as they set the pace in the NFC.

The Rams are 2-2 so far and remain locked in a logjam with the Seahawks and Cardinals behind the 49ers in the NFC West.

Los Angeles had to go to overtime in Week Four, Puka Nacau securing a walk off touchdown to down the Colts.

Monday’s epic NFL schedule concludes at 11.15am AEDT with another blockbuster between the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers.

The 49ers are the only other team with a perfect start to the season, winning all four games so far.

Dallas sits just behind San Francisco and have impressed many with the style they are playing. The 38-3 blitz of the Patriots last Monday saw their impressive offense on show once again.

The Cowboys-49ers showdown is the marquee matchup of NFL Week Five and will have the NFL world watching.

ESPN’s Week Five action wraps up on Tuesday October 10 when the Green Bay Packers meet the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Packers and Raiders will look to spark their seasons with victory in Week Five.

Green Bay’s new life under QB Jordan Love has started mixed at 2-2, whilst the Raiders life under new QB Jimmy Garoppolo is 1-3 from the first month.

Garoppolo missed the 24-17 defeat to the Chargers due to concussion and would be a much-needed inclusion in the crunch clash with the Packers.
