Stan Sport to bring the Paralympics to Australians like never before – With 40 days until the Opening Ceremony, Stan today announced it will deliver the most comprehensive coverage of a Paralympics in history for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

Stan Sport will be the only place for Australians to watch every event from the Paralympic Games ad-free, live and on demand.

Stan Sport will complement the 9Network’s offering across free-to-air assets and 9Now, bringing the Paralympics to Australian audiences better than ever before.

As the Olympic Games conclude on August 12, sport fans will only have to wait a little over two weeks for the 17th edition of the Paralympic Games to take centre stage. The Games will launch in style with the Opening Ceremony to be held on Paris’ iconic Champs-Elysées on August 29 (AEST). This will be followed by a densely packed programme across 11 days of competition. Viewers on Stan Sport can enjoy the action from 549 events across 22 sports showcased across more than 20 live and ad-free channels.

This live coverage will also be complemented by the the most comprehensive on demand offering including full replays for all events as well as select highlights and minis. This will make over 1400 hours of live and on-demand Paralympics coverage available to viewers on Stan Sport.

Stan Sport will also be the only place to watch Paralympics Daily available throughout the Games.

Hosted by Chris Stubbs, the one hour show will review all the overnight action from Paris and preview what to look forward to in the day ahead.

Paralympics Daily will also include opinion and analysis from five Australian Paralympic legends across a range of sports. This includes Australia’s most decorated Paralympian, Matthew Cowdrey, who alongside nine-time Gold Medallist Priya Cooper will provide unique insights into the 141 swimming medal events.

Also joining the Paralympics Daily lineup to break down the track and field action is former champion sprinter Heath Francis with an illustrious Paralympic medal tally of six gold, four silver and three bronze across three Games. Former Paralympics wheelchair basketballer and two-time para sailing gold medal winner Liesl Tesch as well as four-time Paralympic wheelchair tennis legend David Hall will also provide expert analysis.

The place it holds in the Australian sporting landscape is one of incredible importance and we at Stan could not be more honoured to be able to deliver coverage of the sports, the stories and the competitors, direct to Australians, uninterrupted and ad-free.

Whether audiences want to watch every match live during the night, or catch-up on the action the next day, we have created a unique and dynamic offering to deliver the games to Australian audiences, in a way that compliments the remarkable athletes and their astounding achievements.

The team and I are beyond excited to watch the magic unfold and wish all of the competing athletes all the very best, for what is no doubt set to be a remarkable and fantastic Paralympics.”
