After traveling to far off lands like Perth, Brisbane and, um, Manly, the couples have returned from Homestays for the penultimate Dinner Party.
Vibes are high in Rhi and Jeff’s apartment, where they’re stronger than ever after the smitten groom gifted his bride a key to his place in Melbourne.

This week, they’ll be joined in the Going Strong club by Awhina and Adrian and miraculously, Jamie and Dave.
The latter pair have got matching pink fits on and can’t wait to spill about Adrian getting the tick-of-approval from Awhina’s mum. I guess we’ll just breeze past Cleo, then!
And Jamie is going to be the best smelling person in the room – or she better be, because Dave has surprised her with a $400 perfume.
“It’s what rich people smell like,” she beams.Play Video

But, of course, other participants left Homestays without keys, perfume or even romantic feelings for their partner.
Beth went into Homestays thinking she and Teejay were making great progress, so she was blindsided when he revealed that he still did not feel an emotional connection.
But he’s trying to remain optimistic.
“Homestays were a little bit… much,” he tells her. “But, if that’s where we are, that’s where we are. It’s not like we hate each other or anything.”
WHAT IS IT WITH THE GROOMS AND “WE DON’T HATE EACH OTHER” THIS YEAR?
They decide to enter the Dinner Party together, but the same can’t be said for Jacqui and Ryan.
Jacqui says it is “clear as daylight” that she did nothing wrong during their disastrous Homestays and is hurt that Ryan did not stand up for her in front of his friends.
EXCLUSIVE: MAFS’ Rhi and Jeff on the moment you didn’t see on TV during Homestays Week
She will be looking for an apology tonight, but it’s set to be a very long search because, unsurprisingly, that is not something Ryan plans to do.
In fact, he thinks their relationship is done – for good. And he really wants to show everyone ‘what he’s been dealing with’.
Cocktail Hour
The party begins with a official meeting of the Going Strong club, and everyone is so, so happy to see Jamie and Dave back on track after a tough couple of weeks.
The vibes are very high in the room, but in the cars, Beth makes a scathing comment about whether there is any point in her wearing her wedding ring.
“Do you reckon everyone’s Homestays were as good as ours?” Jeff asks the room.
As Beth and Teejay arrive and very quickly separate, Jacqui is in her car hyping herself up to enter solo.
She says when she thinks of Ryan, she thinks of “evil” and “black smoke”.
Cut to Ryan, who is singing in his car.
“I actually think Ryan is on the wrong track in life and he needs to be put back in his place so he can figure it out himself,” she continues.
“All byyyyy myyyyyyselllllffff, don’t wanna be all by myyyysellllfffff… actually, it’s probably better this way,” Ryan riffs.
Jacqui arrives and tells the group her point-of-view, saying Ryan’s friends said she wrote something in her honesty letter to Ryan than she actually didn’t.
However, Jacqui’s perspective has a small problem:
Jeff, who was Jacqui’s Couples Swap partner, heard the letter verbatim.
The experts point out that the group don’t seem to trust what Jacqui’s saying, just as Awhina points out that the letter wasn’t very… nice.Play Video
Jacqui spills on her Homestay from hell
Ryan walks in and says he feels like a gladiator.
It’s a far cry from Jacqui’s hopes of seeing him wander in with his tail between his legs.
“Jacqui wants me to apologise for being alive, literally, but what do I have to be sorry for? Nothing,” he says.
Dinner is called, and Jacqui rightly points out that he can’t avoid her at the table.
Dinner Party
Jacqui asks if Ryan wants to go have a private chat, but he says no.
Then Jeff calls everyone’s attention to them, so whatever she wants to be private is about to be very, very public.
Ryan gives a play-by-play of their entire week, starting with them rowing about his beard length and being called a “small brain”.
As they argue about how things really went throughout their time at his house, including their ill-fated dog walk and lunch with friends, Jacqui denies questioning Ryan’s hard work and earning capabilities in her honesty letter.Play Video
Ryan exposes wife’s ‘garbage’ comments about him
“I heard it with my own ears, I read it with my own eyes, she read it to me,” Jeff reacts.
He calls Jacqui out on this and gets into an argument of semantics.
EXCLUSIVE: MAFS’ Jamie reveals the one question she never asked Dave as their relationship crumbled
The group say she should just own her part in their issues, as Ryan has at previous Commitment Ceremonies.
However, the only flaw Jacqui can pinpoint is that perhaps she is too honest. And the only thing she wants to apologise for is not walking Freya correctly.
There’s no real conclusion to this argument, but Ryan says he feels vindicated that the group have seen what he’s been struggling with recently.Play Video
Jeff calls out one bride’s lies
Next, Beth opens up about Teejay telling her family and his friends that he was still trying to figure out if he wanted a relationship with her.
She says she felt embarrassed by that, and also explains her confusion after Teejay initiated intimacy with her after the last Commitment Ceremony.
She thought that meant his emotional connection had grown, so finding out that was the case blindsided her.
He says he felt “pushed into a corner” during Homestays and Beth is frustrated that he is blaming his comments on being asked pretty simple questions.Play Video
Teejay struggles to reassure Beth
Also, he keeps calling her “darling”. But now is not the time for pet names, Teejay!
”Take a shot every time Teejay says darling,” Jamie jokes.
I’ve lost count of the d-words when Jamie asks Teejay if, right now, he wants to work on his relationship with darling Beth.
He doesn’t know…. darling!
OH MY GOD.
EVEN THE EXPERTS ARE ONBOARD.
Beth and Teejay take some space, but it doesn’t help him feel any less “claustrophobic” at being asked a basic yes or no question about his feelings.
She is agonising over her decision at the next Commitment Ceremony. She doesn’t want to leave, but she also doesn’t want to stay if he isn’t into her.
“I won’t be upset if you write stay,” he tells her, which solves absolutely none of her problems.Play Video
Beth asks Teejay for full transparency
As the group gush over Rhi and Jeff’s house key news and Carina and Paul gaze into each other’s eyes, Jacqui tells Ryan she can tell he’s hurting.
She’s realised that her honestly letter was “quite mean… not mean, but a hard truth to hear”, so she asks him for a private chat and he eventually agrees.
She explains that being yelled at by his friends was really hard for her, and it cut her deep that he didn’t stand up for her.
But, she says, she’s now doing him a favour by giving him the opportunity to work on their relationship.
He does not agree.
”Why don’t you want to be someone great?” she asks him.

He says that is insulting and that perhaps she should want to be someone who is approachable.
Then Ryan snaps, labelling her judgmental and hypercritical. And he wants out.
“You don’t like me for who I am and that is fine. I love myself, I am confident in myself,” he says, holding her hands.
“I have an amazing life and your influence on it at the moment is destructive because you’re trying to change it. That’s not what a relationship is.”
Jacqui sees things differently.
“You’re the Adam, I’m the Eve. I was brought here, to you,” she says, doing her best to get him back onside.
But Ryan doesn’t think there is anything worth salvaging.
She is really upset to realise the extent of how much she hurt him and apologises to him for it.
“I feel like the effort I put into the relationship and me being honest is what drove him away,” she cries.
“I can’t believe I’m losing Ryan. I don’t lose people, people lose me.”Play Video
Ryan tells Jacqui their relationship ‘can’t be salvaged’
On Sunday night, it’s the last couch session before Final Vows and the experts have plenty of tough questions to throw at our couples.
Will they make it to the final week of the experiment or will Ryan make his break-up official on the Commitment Ceremony couch? We are dying to find out!
