In Melbourne, Rhi and Jeff are arriving at his apartment… which Rhi knows well.
She stayed there when they briefly dated last year – but this time, she’s seeing it in broad daylight!
Across the city, Dave is getting ready to meet a very guarded Jamie.
They haven’t exactly been in a great place, staying in separate apartments while in Melbourne, but now he wants to show her he can be a better partner.
He promises romance, sealed with a kiss.Play Video
Dave vows to ‘be a better partner’ to Jamie
Back in Sydney, Jacqui and Ryan are making the colossal trek from Manly to South West Sydney.
Ryan is proud to have achieved the impossible – buying a house solo in Sydney. He hopes Jacqui is impressed.
They get off to a good start as she greets his dog, but things head south once they step inside and he shows off his 250-year-old sword.
She’s especially unimpressed by his room of knick-knacks, including travel souvenirs and Darth Vader’s head.
Jacqui sobs.
“I just think, he’s been alone here for seven years. Maybe he isn’t even aware of how lonely he is. It really reminds me of the elderly, because a lot of elderly live in homes where they’re alone for seven, 10 and 15 years,” she reacts.
Okay, but would the elderly own collectable figurines of Goku from Dragon Ball Z?
While she gets acquainted with his figurines, we check in with the others.
EXCLUSIVE: MAFS’ Awhina reveals reason behind bold decision she made ahead of Adrian meeting her family
Brissy pair Beth and Teejay have arrived back in Queensland, where Beth is positively fizzing about introducing a partner to her family for the very first time.
They’re feeling very comfortable together again after overcoming their intimacy issues, and they’re not the only ones.
After their breakthrough earlier, Dave is moving in with Jamie for the remainder of Homestays. He arrives with an emotional support puppy, plenty of compliments and a very cuddly attitude.
There’s the Dave we all know and love!Play Video

While Ryan is out shopping, Jacqui takes the opportunity to draft a very large to-do list.
Most it relates to cleaning and redecorating. She wants to move the sword, move his workspace, move Darth Vader and Goku into boxes and move… herself back to Manly, I think.Play Video

In Perth, Awhina and Adrian are moving on from his feud with Cleo with a beachside picnic and talk about their future.
”Let’s see how we go outside this and go from there, and do long-distance for a time, just keep going from here,” he tells her.

But meanwhile, it’s roast time at Beth’s house – and I’m not just talking about the chicken.
At first, over dinner with Beth’s parents and bestie Darcey, Teejay says all the right things.
But then they pry further about whether there is a romantic connection beyond just their solid friendship foundation.
“If it all ended abruptly tomorrow, is my daughter going to get heartbroken?” her dad quizzes.
That’s when Teejay says… all the wrong things.
”We don’t know what’s on the horizon, I care so much for Beth…”
“I care about my dog,” Darcey interrupts.
Teejay sees Beth in his life for a long time, but he says they’re both trying to figure out in what capacity.
But Beth isn’t on the same page. She’s now second-guessing his attraction to her yet again.Play Video
Beth’s family raise concerns about Teejay’s feelings for her
Meanwhile, Jacqui and Ryan take his dog Freya for a walk, fulfilling one of Ryan’s life dreams.
That is, until Jacqui takes Freya’s lead and doesn’t walk her exactly how Ryan would like. Then, his dream becomes a nightmare.
“Telling me how to manage my pet is just a no-no,” he reacts, frustrated that Jacqui is trying to change his house, life and/or dog walking habits rather than fit into them.Play Video
Jacqui and Ryan argue during a dog walk
Beth and Teejay meet his mates for lunch and Beth is keen to get to the bottom of his feelings.
And then he just… blurts it out:
“I think what we’re trying to work out at the moment is, is our connection going to flourish into a relationship? So, there’s obviously something that’s lacking between us for me to say ‘yes, I want to have a relationship with this person.'”
She excuses herself and with just his friends, Teejay doubles down.
“If you were to tell me it had to be yes or no right now, it had to be a no because I’m not completely comfortable here.”Play Video

I think we’re owed some warm fuzzies after that, so please bring on Rhi and Jeff!
It is no surprise that Homestays has only confirmed their feelings for one another even more.
They’re dead-set on building a future together and to prove it, Jeff gifts her a key to his apartment.
“Come over whenever,” he tells her.
Across town, Dave has organised a really important afternoon to show his commitment to Jamie.
He wants her to meet his dad, who was too sick while undergoing chemotherapy to attend their wedding.
They had some really good news about his treatment yesterday, so spirits are high as the family get together for a special catch-up.
Dave tells them that Jamie has been really supportive and understanding of him having his mind half in the experiment, and half at home with his dad.
Jamie immediately gets the all-important dad tick-of-approval and Dave can’t wipe the smile off his face.Play Video
Dave’s dad gives Jamie the tick of approval
While Homestays has put the pep back in Jamie and Dave’s steps, the same can’t be said for Beth.
She tells Teejay his comments to his friends took her by surprise, but he thinks he’s been pretty transparent about where he’s at.
He still doesn’t feel an emotional connection, which confuses Beth because she’d thought them sleeping together again pointed to the fact he did.Play Video
Teejay admits the ‘connection’ with Beth still isn’t there
But nope, he says he was just trying to fulfill her needs.
She’s obviously upset by this and says if she’d known beforehand, she never would’ve brought him into her home.
After their walk went to the dogs (sorry), Jacqui and Ryan have plans to cool down over drinks with her friend Jet and his friends Adam and Karla.
Ryan is hoping the lunch gives him some clarity of whether he and Jacqui can work.
She helps out by telling the table that she likes living by the ocean and running, so moving the Ryan’s would be too many sacrifices for her.
Karla also says she heard some “appalling” things were said to Ryan in the form of a letter.
Jacqui isn’t sure what she means. To be fair, there have been multiple letters.

It’s established that they’re talking about the honesty letter, which Jacqui used to express her concerns about Ryan’s thoughts on masculinity, his ego, his earning potential and his ability to step up to be a hands-on father if she is in a coma.
Adam and Karla defend Ryan as a very hard worker and think Jacqui is diminishing his achievements, while she thinks he’s overreacting.
When Jacqui and Jet grab drinks, Adam tells Ryan he’s trying to be nice but Jacqui’s behaviour is really getting on his nerves.
They return and start to argue about whether arguing is healthy.
As Karla goes in to bat for Ryan, Jacqui says she keeps talking over her.
“You did that to me last time hun, how does it feel?” Karla replies.Play Video
Ryan and Jacqui’s Homestay ends in fiery row
Things spiral further, until Adam tells Jacqui she’s wasted Ryan’s time, as Jacqui and Jet make an emotional scape.
They’ve got an arduous, two-hour journey back to Manly ahead of them.
Tomorrow night, it’s the second to last Dinner Party. Buckle up, because the experiment is winding down but the drama definitely isn’t!
