Awhina and Cleo are still at the scene of their disastrous lunch with Adrian’s family.
And still, no one has touched the food!
Awhina is devastated that Adrian clearly didn’t mean what he said about making things up to her this week.
Meanwhile, outside, Adrian and his sisters discuss how much better the conversation would’ve gone if Cleo was not there to support Awhina.
MAFS EP 18 RECAP: One groom’s sister brands his wife ‘trash’ in most explosive Family and Friends union to date
”I’ve genuinely done nothing wrong,” Adrian says. “I don’t think Awhina’s going to see what her and her sister have done wrong.”
Two hours later, Awhina is debriefing with a producer in their apartment when Adrian also arrives home.
He fishes for an apology and obviously doesn’t get one.
“This time, I’m absolutely not in the wrong and neither is my family. Now, we’ll see if she’s going to own up to her sisters actions,” he claims after storming out yet again.Play Video
Awhina and Adrian speak for the first time after their disastrous family visit
The couples whose Family and Friends Week meet-ups went well are thriving – especially Jacqui and Ryan, who have been hard at work on a shrine to themselves inside their apartment.
Carina and Paul are meeting up with his best friend and sister, and her sister and aunty.
Yes, cheeky wedding guest Aunt Maria is back and you betcha she’s got some X-rated questions to ask!
EXCLUSIVE: Awhina reveals Adrian’s friend Jasmin reached out after that disastrous family meet up on MAFS 2025
After the niceties are out the way, she launches into it.
“So, obviously you sleep together…” she says. “The sex life is good?”
They do, it is, and Aunt Maria can leave lunch feeling content in that knowledge.Play Video

Veronica and Eliot are still undergoing the crash course, and Veronica’s hoping his Confession Letter will tell her more about him than his Photo Ranking.
Eliot feels like he’s risen to the challenge, writing a letter about “one of [his] most deep and harrowing memories”.
He shares the story of his baby sister falling into a coma and his experience of watching his parents deal with that in the hospital, and reflecting on how that time impacts his processing of emotions even now.Play Video
Eliot makes an emotional confession to wife Veronica
Veronica thanks him for sharing, but she’s clearly unmoved.
To the camera, she says he chose to tell her “nothing” and she’s fuming about it.
Later, she tells him his story wasn’t even about him and he’s… baffled.
“Me being vulnerable and you’re saying, ‘That’s not enough for me?'” he questions, as Veronica says she’s allowed to feel how she feels.
She says she’s not interested in a “boring, repetitious” argument with him and declares herself “done”.
Ironically, they soon jump into exactly that until Veronica leaves to stay in another apartment.Play Video

OK, it’s time for some brief wholesomeness – a.k.a Jamie and Dave’s joint family lunch!
Hearing Dave speak so highly of his daughter makes Jamie’s dad emotional. He doesn’t need to pray for her to find a husband anymore!Play Video

Morena and Tony are hoping catching up with friends can reignite their spark.
While Tony insists they’re going good, Morena is more frank.
“It’s really tough,” she says, as she tells the table about the rug Tony sweeps everything under.
She tells Tony he doesn’t realise how much he’s hurt her, getting emotional, and Morena’s friends ask what caused such a switch after their wedding ceremony.
He says he’s looking for the fun, vibrant Morena he met on that day, but she says it’s hard to be that person with all the Houdinis and headlocks.
Oh, and because she thinks deep down he’s not onboard with her age.
“Tony, you were gutted when you found out I was 57,” she claims.
Her friends pull him aside for a private chat and he drops a surprise bombshell.
Uh, Tony wants a child?
It’s a revelation to everyone, including himself.
“It’s taken me a while to think about it, to register in my head what I really, really want,” he says.Play Video

Later, he sits down to tell Morena.
And she does not believe him at all.
She wishes he could just say he’s just not that into her, because this “sweet little story” has made her lose respect for him.Play Video

Veronica and Eliot are trying to work through their issue and yet again… it’s not going great.
Eliot is confused about where he stands, and doesn’t feel like Veronica’s acknowledged that he opened up at all.
“So I want to hear your side, explain that happened,” he concludes.
“Thank you for the detailed description of how I should communicate with you,” she replies.
She asks him to re-communicate what he communicated the night before. It’s a shame he hasn’t taken a leaf out of Jacqui’s book just grabbed the letter to reference again.
Suddenly, Veronica’s talking about the Photo Ranking. Ah, so SHE’S the one taking notes from Jacqui!
OH WAIT A MINUTE.
HE DOES HAVE THE LETTER AFTER ALL.
He re-reads his lines about how the experience impacted how he treats emotion and Veronica again claims she learned nothing.
With a frustrated hand through his hair, he repeats that he can’t understand Veronica’s point-of-view by… saying, almost word-for-word what she’s been complaining about.
“Don’t paraphrase my words,” she snaps.Play Video
Veronica tells Eliot she does not trust him
He doesn’t think she’s going about getting him to open up even more in the best way.
He’s frustrated by her communicating in sarcasm and rhetorical questions.
Veronica says multiple things have compounded for her and she now doesn’t trust him and has her walls up.
Eliot feels like this is getting to the crux of the issue and would like to hash it out more, but Veronica disagrees.
It unravels into her raising her voice to tell him not to raise his voice, “setting a boundary” before storming out of the room.
While Veronica is emotional in her separate apartment, Eliot tries to make sense of how (or if) they move forward.
Surely a Dinner Party is the perfect place to hash it all out? See you there tomorrow!
