Joaquim Dos Santos appears at the Australian Children’s Content Summit – Award-winning director to appear ‘In Conversation’ with Flying Bark Productions CEO Barbara Stephen

Renowned director and producer Joaquim Dos Santos will be a special guest at this year’s inaugural Australian Children’s Content Summit being held from Tuesday 29 August to Thursday 31 August at Pacific Bay Resort, Coffs Harbour in New South Wales.  

As platinum sponsors of this year’s event Flying Bark Productions is proudly bringing Dos Santos down under to share his insights and experiences with the children’s & family entertainment and media sector.  

Dos Santos, acclaimed for his work on Sony Pictures Animation’s recently released Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, will appear “In Conversation” with Barbara Stephen, CEO of Flying Bark Productions, on day 2 of the summit, Wednesday, 30 August. 

The session, part of the Lunchtime in Conversation series, promises an engaging discussion about Dos Santos’ illustrious career, creative process, and his contributions to the animated content industry.

“We are incredibly excited to host Joaquim Dos Santos at the Australian Children’s Content Summit,” said Barbara Stephen, CEO of Flying Bark Productions.  “His exceptional talent and unique vision have left an indelible mark on the animation landscape globally.  I look forward to hearing his insights and discussing the current state of animation with fellow producers and friends.”

With an impressive directing portfolio spanning popular animated shows such as The Legend of Korra, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Voltron: Legendary Defender, Dos Santos has captivated audiences with his visionary storytelling and unique artistic style.  

His skills earned him a Hollywood Critics Association Midseason Award for Best Director this year, a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing in an Animated Program in 2013, and an Annie Award for Best Directing in an Animated Television Production or Short Form in 2009, among countless others.

PRICE: Registration for the full program ticket providing three-day event access is priced at $800 and one-day event passes can be purchased for $390.  All tickets include lunches, refreshments, evening functions, and more.
