Foxtel celebrates TV Week Logie Awards nominations – The Foxtel Group today confirmed it has secured a total of 17 nominations for the 63rd TV Week Logie Awards, spanning celebrated local drama, lifestyle and reality programming on FOXTEL and BINGE.

Critically acclaimed courtroom drama THE TWELVE has secured the most nominations of any drama this year with nine nominations including Most Outstanding Drama Series and Most Popular Drama Program. THE TWELVE is a gripping 10-episode drama that tells the story of 12 ordinary Australians who are selected for jury duty in a murder trial as traumatising as it is controversial, in which a woman stands accused of killing her teenage niece.

International star of THE TWELVE Sam Neill is nominated for his role as Brett Colby SC in the Most Popular and Most Outstanding Actor categories and is joined by co-stars Marta Dusseldorp and Kate Mulvany in the Most Outstanding Actress category. Brooke Satchwell and Pallavi Sharda also received Logie nods, both nominated in the Most Outstanding Supporting Actress category. Hamish Michael was recognised with a nomination for Most Outstanding Supporting Actor.

BINGE hit series COLIN FROM ACCOUNTS has secured four nominations including Most Outstanding Comedy Series. The critically acclaimed 8-episode series premiered to record-breaking viewing becoming the Foxtel Group’s most watched local drama of all time and  has since been sold to multiple territories around the world most recently the BBC where it launched to international praise.

Creators, writers and stars of COLIN FROM ACCOUNTS, Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer, are nominated for Most Outstanding Actor and Actress respectively with Patrick also recognised in the Most Popular Actor category.

Co-stars of the second season of Foxtel Original series UPRIGHT, Tim Minchin and Milly Alcock, also received Logie nods, nominated for Most Outstanding Actor and Actress respectively.

The Foxtel Group dominated the Most Outstanding Actress category snagging four of six nominations.

In further nominations for the Foxtel Group, Logie Award-winning hit series GOGGLEBOX AUSTRALIA is once again nominated in the Most Popular Entertainment Program category.

Season 14 of the hugely successful SELLING HOUSES AUSTRALIA hosted by real estate guru Andrew Winter, interior design expert Wendy Moore and landscape designer Dennis Scott is nominated for Most Popular Lifestyle Program.

Foxtel Group Chief Content and Commercial Officer, Amanda Laing said:

“We’re thrilled to be recognised with 17 nominations across our stellar slate of local Original drama, lifestyle and reality programming. We’ve had a massive year launching Australian Originals to critical acclaim and smashing viewing records as well as green-lighting exciting new projects for the future.

“Along with individual nominations, these nods showcase our commitment to discovering and supporting Australian stories and talent on screen as well as producing premium television for our customers.

“Our beloved colleague Brian Walsh was behind every single one of these nominations particularly his passion project The Twelve so we celebrate and honour him as part of this incredible recognition.

“The Logies are a special moment each year to celebrate the Australian television industry and our collective achievements and we look forward to the Ceremony on July 30.”
