Ratings | Australia Votes: ABC sets record federal election audience – The ABC’s Australia Votes 2025 federal election coverage has achieved record audiences across platforms.
The ABC Network and ABC iview dominated prime-time viewing last night with an FTA Total TV prime-time share of 48.4%.
Australia Votes 2025: Election Results Live (8.30pm-10pm AEST) was the #1 election night program with a Total TV national reach of 4.1 million Australians and Total TV national average audience of 2.4 million viewers.
The ABC NEWS website and app achieved more than 5.7 million users across the day and almost 500,000 more via Apple News.
ABC NewsRadio and Local Radio recorded around 200,000 live streams via the ABC listen app with many more listeners across the local and national radio networks.
Across the campaign period Vote Compass has achieved 1.5 million completes and the Your Say audience callout has received more than 27,000 online submissions online plus thousands of voices on local radio.

- The People’s Decision (10pm-11.30pm): Total TV national reach of 3.2 million and Total TV national average audience of 2.0 million viewers (#3 FTA program)
- Election Latest (11pm-midnight): Total TV national reach of 2.3 million and Total TV national average audience of 1.1 million viewers (#7 FTA program)

- ABC NEWS app: 862,000 daily users, also the highest figure under the current measurement
- ABC NEWS also had 498,000 unique viewers on Apple News
- The federal election live blog accumulated 4.2 million page views
- The ABC NEWS Channel live stream on the web and app accumulated 1.7 million streams overnight
ABC listen app
ABC NewsRadio recorded 92,000 live streams on the ABC listen app yesterday
- ABC Local Radio capital city stations recorded 108,000 live streams
