Murder in a Small Town on Channel 7 first look – Captivating psychological crime drama coming to 7plus
The highly anticipated premiere of the compelling new crime drama Murder in a Small Town is coming to 7plus Monday, 19 November.
Set against the backdrop of a picturesque British Columbian coastal town, Murder in a Small Town weaves an intricate web of suspense, complex characters, and secrets hidden beneath the surface of a seemingly idyllic community.
The suspenseful drama follows Karl Alberg, a seasoned detective who relocates to the quiet coastal town in search of solace after the emotional toll of his high-pressure career in the city.
Karl’s hope for peace is shattered when a series of chilling murders disturb the tranquillity of the town. As the stakes rise, he must rely on his world-class investigative skills to solve the crimes, all while navigating his relationship with Cassandra: a local librarian who becomes both his intellectual partner and romantic interest. As the investigation deepens, the line between Karl’s professional and personal worlds becomes increasingly blurred.
Based on the Edgar-Award-wining Karl Alberg book series by L.R. Wright, Murder in a Small Town is created for television by Ian Weir.
It stars Rossif Sutherland (Reign and The Handmaid’s Tale) as Karl Alberg, alongside Kristin Kreuk (Smallville and Beauty & the Beast) as Cassandra Lee.
The drama is directed by Leslie Hope, written by Sherry White, and executive produced by Nick Orchard (Soapbox Productions), Morris Ruskin and Sharon Wisnia (Mojo Global Arts) and Jon Cotton.
