Australian Idol Top 12 prepare for the Live Shows
The final night of Top 24 week proved fierce as eight contestants conquered notes and nerves to score one of four final places in the Australian Idol Top 12 tonight on Channel 7 and 7plus.
Melbourne rose farmer Josh Hannan stepped onstage without the comfort of a guitar or piano to captivate the audience with his raw performance of Joji’s Glimpse of Us.
Dance teacher Jasey Fox showed off his pipes and energetic dance moves as he took on Grace Kelly by MIKA.
Noora H, 27 from Sydney, overcame her nerves to bring the house down with a performance of Olivia Newton-John’s Hopelessly Devoted to You.
But it was 15-year-old Angelina Curtis’ performance of The Only Exception by Paramore that captivated Harry, who gave her the final Touchdown of the week.
Softly spoken Peter Kara delivered with his rendition of Diamonds by Sam Smith, while Sara Houston brought the house down as she performed Nelly Furtado’s I’m Like a Bird.
Meanwhile, Sharin Attamimi took on Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive and Bobby Homes emulated Bruno Mars as he performed Locked out of Heaven.
With only three spots remaining in the Top 12 after Angelina’s Touchdown, our all-star judges granted Josh, Jasey and Noora the final places in the coming live-to-air shows.
