The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning on SBS Viceland – Narrated by Amy Poehler, Margareta Magnusson’s bestselling book comes to life in a transformation series where people are given the chance to organise their home, life, and relationships before it’s too late.
Plucked right out of Sweden, an organiser, a designer, and a psychologist – also known as the Death Cleaners – have come to America to help eight heroes face their mortality, speak honestly about death, and confront all that “crap” that has been collecting dust for years.
Each story builds towards a physical transformation of the home, as well as an emotional journey that will leave you smiling.
Season One, Episode Four: The Art of a Woman
The Death Cleaners aid Sue, an artist who helped build a lesbian-safe section of Kansas City in the 80s, who hasn’t been able to clean her “organized heaps” of art since the love of her life died of COVID-19.
The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning on SBS Viceland and SBS on Demand – New Episode – Sunday, 28 January at 10.30pm (8 parts)
