Patagonia on SBS – Deep dive into one of the last untouched places on earth, Patagonia in South America, in this ground-breaking documentary series, narrated by Chilean-born actor Pedro Pascal.
Series One, Episode Two: Fjordlands
Along Patagonia’s Pacific coast lies the fjordlands – beautiful, flooded valleys that were carved out by ice over millennia.
During the summer, meltwater from glaciers pours into the fjords, stirring up nutrients and transforming these waters into one of the most nature-rich regions on Earth. They are home to a wealth of wildlife, including the largest animal that has ever lived – the blue whale – as well as the elusive, endemic Chilean dolphin.
Patagonia – New Episode – Sunday, 28 May at 9.30pm on SBS and SBS on Demand (6 Parts)
