Grand Designs: The Streets on ABC and ABC iview S3E7 – Kevin McCloud follows more innovative and pioneering community projects across the British Isles and revisits the ambitious self-builds in Graven Hill and Glasgow with co-presenter Natasha Huq.
Episode Seven
Amanda and Chris and their three children live just outside Glasgow in a very cramped house, so when the opportunity emerges to self-build a generous family home close to the city centre, they jump at it.
But with little previous experience of self-build and a limited budget, they decide to forego the services of an architect and design the house themselves, an ambitious timber clad box with patterned brick.
We also return to Joanna and Ben who built an American ranch style house and have been adding to their unique vision – making it a standout in central Glasgow.
