Edward And Wallis: The Bahamas Scandal on SBS and SBS on Demand – Edward And Wallis: The Bahamas Scandals is the shocking story of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor’s little-known war years in the Caribbean.
Using secret British Government and FBI documents, many appearing for the first time, this film uncovers in detail that between 1940 and 1945, the Duke and Duchess were embroiled in scandal after scandal.
Spending on a lavish scale at the height of war; racist attitudes & local unrest; fraternising with known Nazi-sympathisers; disastrous interventions in global politics; blackmail plots; allegations of money laundering; secret affairs; and intimate involvement in a notorious unsolved murder.
This infamous couple’s period in the Bahamas was perhaps their most outrageous yet … and it’s all laid bare in this astonishing documentary.
