Junior MasterChef Australia returns to Channel 10 in 2027 with Meghan and Poh – Junior MasterChef Australia will return to Channel 10 in 2027, with Poh Ling Yeow joined by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, as a special guest.

The revival brings young Australian cooks back into the MasterChef kitchen six years after the previous season. Network 10 has confirmed the two high-profile names but has not announced a premiere date, contestants or the full judging arrangement. Meghan’s role is described as a special guest appearance.

Meghan returns after MasterChef Australia guest appearance

Meghan appeared in the MasterChef Australia kitchen as a guest judge in April 2026. Her return will place her alongside Poh as they meet the new group of junior cooks and support their culinary journey. The Duchess has spoken publicly about cooking with her children and previously appeared on the American competition Chopped Junior in 2016.

Meghan said her experience with the Australian production made the invitation an easy decision.

I had an incredible time with the whole team at MasterChef this past April, so when they approached me to come back and work with this young group of talent, it was an easy yes. I love cooking with my own kids, so seeing what these young stars create in the kitchen is going to be a lot of fun. I can’t wait to see what they cook up!

She also fronts the cooking and lifestyle series With Love, Meghan. Network 10 says her previous MasterChef Australia appearance delivered the program’s largest Sunday audience since 2023, excluding launch and finale episodes. That audience claim comes from Network 10’s Total TV figures.

Poh Ling Yeow has two MasterChef roles in 2027

Poh will also return to the judging panel of MasterChef Australia season 19 alongside Andy Allen, Sofia Levin and Jean-Christophe Novelli. Her role on Junior MasterChef Australia will bring that experience to a younger group of contestants.

Poh said viewers had continued to ask about the junior edition’s return.

I’m thrilled to bits that Junior MasterChef is returning to our screens. People often ask me whether it might come back, so I know the news will be met with plenty of excitement.

I had a lovely time filming with Meghan earlier this year, and being reunited will be a real treat. I can’t wait to meet our pint-sized culinary adventurers – I’m expecting plenty of delicious surprises and a little mischief, too.
