Sky News Australia Announces 2024 Programming Line-Up – Sky News Australia has unveiled its 2024 program offering, seeing the biggest names in news and opinion returning to screens, with bold new programs shaking up the schedule.
New in 2024, Steve Price joins Sky News with his own show, Sharri Markson’s popular primetime program moves to the 8.00pm timeslot, Monday to Thursday, and Danica De Giorgio hosts a brand-new debate program filmed in front of a studio audience.
A new politics program with Tom Connell launches during Parliamentary sitting weeks, Laura Jayes is set to host a new digital conversation series for SkyNews.com.au, Cheng Lei joins the team and Andrew Clennell takes the reins as host of Sunday Agenda.
The new schedule launching from today has Sky News Australia bringing more breaking news, exclusive insights, documentaries and special investigations to audiences across the country via the network’s broadcast and digital platforms.

SKY NEWS IN 2024
Sky News Australia’s award-winning political team will continue to deliver real news, live as it breaks, across the network’s trusted national affairs programs.
To start each morning, Peter Stefanovic returns to host Sky News’ breakfast program First Edition weekdays from 5.30am, discussing the world of news, sport and weather. Then, AM Agenda from 9.00am with Laura Jayes brings viewers a comprehensive look at the day’s top stories with hard-hitting political interviews.
This year, Chief News Anchor Kieran Gilbert will host the 11.00am timeslot, leading NewsDay Monday-Fridaylive from Parliament House, Canberra. Coverage continues during Afternoon Agenda at 2.00pm, with Tom Connell and Ashleigh Gillon delivering the latest breaking news and analysis.
New program Politics Now will premiere during Parliamentary sitting weeks, with the first episode starting Tuesday 6 February – the first sitting day of the year – from 3.15pm. Hosted by Chief Election Analyst Tom Connell, a panel of leading political journalists including Kieran Gilbert, Andrew Clennell and Ashleigh Gillon, will dissect the day’s most pressing topics and issues being debated in Question Time.
Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood returns to provide comprehensive business and finance news during Business Now, weekdays at 4.30pm and Business Weekend,Sundays at 11.00am.
Plus, the news team continues to grow with journalist Cheng Lei joining Sky News as Presenter and SkyNews.com.au Columnist.
The top rating weekday primetime line-up will deliver honest views, as Chris Kenny kicks off the schedule with the return of The Kenny Reportin its 5.00pm heritage timeslot each Monday-Thursday.
Peta Credlin returns at 6.00pm Monday-Thursday with her razor-sharp political analysis during popular primetime program Credlin.
Then at 7.00pm Andrew Bolt drives debate and discussion in The Bolt Report each Monday-Thursday.
Award-winning news-breaking political journalist Sharri Markson and her agenda-setting program Sharri moves to the 8.00pm timeslot Monday-Thursday.
Paul Murray Live, Sky News Australia’s longest-running opinion program, now in its fourteenth year, returns Sunday-Thursday at 9.00pm with the straight-talking Paul Murray. The Paul Murray Live Our Town series will also return in 2024 for its sixth season, travelling around Australia to share the unique stories from Australia’s regional and rural communities.
Monday-Thursday, The Late Debate hosted by James Macpherson, Liz Storer and Caleb Bond is back at 10.00pm bringing a bit of late-night fun through passionate debate and discussion.
Piers Morgan Uncensored returns Tuesday-Friday at 11.00pm with Piers Morgan sharing his verdict on the day’s global events through fearless debate and headline-making interviews.
Fridays on Sky News Erin with Erin Molan is back at 5.00pm delivering current affairs commentary with a twist.
Broadcaster Steve Price joins the Sky News hosting stable with the launch of his new show Steve Price, Fridays at 6.00pm, premiering 19 January. Price has been a regular Sky News contributor and guest host and is set to bring strong-willed discussions to the table each week.
The Rita Panahi Show with host Rita Panahi returns at 7.00pm Fridays. Then, viewers can join James Morrow on The U.S. Report at 8.00pm where he’ll share analysis on the major issues set to shift the dial as America gears up for the 2024 Presidential election in November.
Plus, SkyNews.com.au Editor Jack Houghton is back to host The Media Show, Fridays at 9.00pm.
From Sunday 28 January Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell will host leading political discussion program Sunday Agenda at 8.00am, giving Australians a jump-start on the big political issues in the week ahead.
One of the network’s most popular opinion programs – Outsiders –continues every Sunday at 9.00am. Hosts Rowan Dean, Rita Panahi and James Morrow are back to tackle the nation’s most topical issues, sharing their views on the biggest stories of the week.
Following a successful initial season in late 2023, The Sunday Showdown becomes a permanent fixture Sundays at 7.00pm, with Caleb Bond named as the 2024 host, leading the five-person panel.

The Jury, hosted by Sky News Presenter Danica De Giorgio, is an exciting new show filmed with a studio audience. The ten-week series, premiering on Sunday 4 February at 8.00pm, sees De Giorgio moderate a discussion between guest debaters on the biggest hot topics of the week. After each debater pleads their case, a 12-person jury joins in on the action and votes for who they believe has won the argument.
