The results are in from Semi-Final 2 of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest – Overnight in Vienna, Austria, Australia’s Delta Goodrem officially secured her place in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. Her breathtaking Semi-Final 2 performance of Eclipse captivated audiences inside the Wiener Stadthalle and viewers around the world. Don’t miss Delta’s spellbinding performance on Sunday 17 May LIVE at 5:00am AEST and in prime time at 7:30pm AEST on SBS and SBS On Demand.

Blending cinematic staging, celestial imagery and couture artistry, Delta’s performance delivered one of the most visually striking and emotionally charged moments of this year’s competition — cementing Eclipse as a standout Grand Final contender.

Delta Goodrem said:

“Tonight feels like pure magic. To stand on that stage, share our hearts, and now know we’re heading to the Grand Final of Eurovision is something I’ll never forget. It’s an absolute honour to represent Australia on the Eurovision stage. Thank you for every vote, every message, and every bit of love.”

SBS Head of Entertainment/Head of Australian Delegation Emily Griggs said:

“What a performance – we all felt so proud watching Delta rise to the occasion. The crowd response was incredible, the applause inside the venue capturing how much the performance connected with everyone.”

Australia’s Creative Director for Vienna, Paul Clarke said:

“Delta makes this performance look effortless, but she has worked hard for this. Representing Australia is everything to her. Expect another level in the Grand Final.”

A celestial spectacle of light, shadow and transformation

Having written songs for Celine Dion and worked alongside Olivia Newton-John, Delta brought her signature vocals and commanding live presence to the Eurovision stage with Eclipse.

Realised by staging directors and producers Dan Shipton and Ross Nicholson of Black Skull Creative, the performance transformed the stage into a cinematic world of light and shadow, evolving from a moonlit dreamscape into a radiant gold sunscape reflecting the song’s themes of transformation and strength.
Delta wore a custom couture creation by Velani By Nicky and House of Emmanuele, styled by Tori Knowles. Adorned with more than 7,000 Swarovski crystals and paired with a crystal eclipse centrepiece, the look symbolised rebirth, intensity and emotional power.

The performance also carried added significance, with Vienna famously hosting Australia’s Eurovision debut in 2015. Marking the contest’s 70th edition, Delta incorporated harp and piano into the performance, grounding the spectacle in artistry and emotion.

Written by Delta Goodrem, Ferras Alqaisi, Jonas Myrin and Michael Fatkin — who also produced the track — Eclipse has continued to resonate with Eurovision audiences across the globe.

Now officially through to the Grand Final, Delta Goodrem is set to Eclipse the world stage once again in a performance that promises to transcend the ordinary and deliver one of Eurovision 2026’s defining moments.
