Precious Metal: A Love Story premieres on SBS2 in September — Precious Metal: A Love Story, presented by Danny Estrin, premieres Wednesday, 2 September at 8.30pm on SBS2 and SBS On Demand.
The series is built around a simple idea: people with passion, and cars with soul. It follows different Australians and the vehicles that have become their obsession.
For SBS viewers, the program adds a local character-led documentary to the SBS2 schedule. It also gives SBS On Demand a motoring series with a clear human-interest angle, rather than a straight car-show format.
People With Passion
Precious Metal: A Love Story is not only about beauty, speed, aspiration or affluence. The release positions the series as a story about individuality, attachment and the joy that comes from seeing something beyond the sum of its parts.
Estrin meets people whose cars are more than machines. For them, each vehicle carries memory, identity and meaning.
