Paramount Australia And LG Electronics Announce Groundbreaking Strategic Partnership – Paramount Australia (Network 10 and Paramount+) and LG Electronics (LG) are proud to announce a strategic partnership that marks a significant milestone in the evolution of connected entertainment, with the launch of an Australia first IPTV linear feed integration into LG Channels.

Available later this month, LG Smart TV owners will be able to watch and enjoy live content from 10, 10 Drama, 10 Comedy and Nickelodeon via IP and without the need to plug in a terrestrial aerial.

This seamless access is delivered directly through LG’s FAST channel offering, LG Channels, adding 24/7 non-aerial access for LG TV users and making it easier than ever for Australians to tune into their favourite free-to-air programming from 10.

By utilising the strengths of Paramount Australia’s rich content portfolio with LG’s position as one of the leading smart TV manufacturers’ in the Australian market, this pioneering initiative leverages the collective power and digital ecosystems of both organisations. It represents a proactive response to the dynamic progression of linear TV and how Australians watch content, as the CTV and streaming markets continue to grow and evolve.

This partnership further reflects a broader industry trend placing emphasis on more intuitive user interfaces, smart home integration, and on-device content discoverability, blending live, linear feeds with on-demand libraries, ensuring audiences can easily find and enjoy content across multiple platforms and devices.

Lachlan Roach, VP, Partner Management and Business Development – Streaming, Paramount Australia said:

“With the 10 IP linear feed seamlessly integrated into LG Channels, audiences are provided with immediate access to live and scheduled broadcast content, directly from their LG webOS devices.”

“This landmark development sets a new global standard for IP content delivery and paves the way for future innovation in streaming and broadcast synergy. We have been clear in our strategy of meeting audiences where they want to watch our content, and this distribution partnership is an example of us executing on our strategy.”

“We are thrilled to have worked in such a collaborative and strategic fashion with LG when developing this partnership, allowing us to not only launch an Australia first CTV IP linear distribution partnership, but deliver commercial value for a number of our group assets.”

Tony Brown, GM, Home Entertainment Marketing and Content Business at LG Electronics ANZ said:

“This partnership is a significant milestone in the evolution of TV and content viewing, not just for Australia, but globally. As a major TV manufacturer, LG is proud to be at the forefront of integrating traditional broadcasting with the modern streaming era, and we are excited to take this next step with Paramount Australia.”

“This partnership reinforces our commitment to providing Australians with seamless access to the content they know and love, further cementing our position as one of the premium Smart TV market leaders.”

“Driven by innovation, LG TVs are designed to be the central hub for seamless, integrated, high quality entertainment, delivering on our Life’s Good promise.”

In addition to the Australia first launch of the 10 IPTV linear feeds on LG Channels, Paramount Australia is securing increased visibility for its streaming services with 10 streaming and Paramount+ tile placements on the LG Home page launcher bar, integration of the 10 streaming metadata feeds into LG’s webOS and more.

Building on the successful collaborations between Paramount Australia and LG Electronics, this partnership highlights a shared commitment to redefine user experiences through innovation and group-wide synergies.

It also delivers on LG’s brand promise, enhancing the entertainment experience for Australians by ensuring seamless, enjoyable, and accessible content on LG Smart TVs, where the intuitive webOS platform makes discovery effortless and showcases LG’s focus on premium content and hardware.

Continuing their commitment to convenience, the flagship 10 App will be prominently available to LG smart TV users, delivering on-demand access to a wide range of popular shows and exclusive digital content, while the Paramount+ App remains a key fixture on LG’s webOS platform, providing users with an ever-expanding library of global premium entertainment.

The LG and 10 partnership will allow Australian’s quick access to more great content on LG Channels Australia, which offers over 130 free streaming channels to an audience of more than 650,000 monthly users.

Through LG Channels, LG Smart TV owners can access 10 fan favourites including, MasterChef Australia, Deal Or No Deal, Australian Survivor, Have You Been Paying Attention? and The Cheap Seats.

Additionally, LG Australia’s sponsorship of 10’s cooking show, MasterChef Australia, underscores the innovation and group collaboration at the heart of this partnership. This extends LG’s Life’s Good promise beyond entertainment, showcasing how innovation empowers culinary creativity in Australian homes, demonstrating a shared vision with LG and Paramount Australia to inspire and enhance daily life.

Thanks to this forward-thinking partnership and the deep strategic alignment, both organisations are poised to lead the way in shaping the future of digital content distribution and device integrations.
